  1. Did you click the link and vote?
  2. June 19th road and gravel ride around Tar Hollow and McArthur. It will not be trailer queen material but also not a mud bog or single track ride. Meet up at 10am at the Sunoco gas station located at the corner of rt56 and rt180 in Laurelville, OH. N39 28.407, W82 44.370 Post up if your in and list your bike: See this for the last big bike DS I did and what type of conditions you can expect. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbXl3hrjACA
  3. Real dare devils just ride the bike into the bed.
  4. Okay, no date yet and I don't have a route yet. As I said this is a feeler to see if more would prefer a tame version. I guess if there are enough wanting both I could do one of each. Plus if I promise to keep it easy maybe Casper will come and get that trailer queen Strom of his a little dirty.
  5. Some may remember the dual sport group ride I did two years ago in Southern Ohio. Well, I am planning a route for another one but was wondering if people would like something easier? Basically all V-strom-able stuff like dirt roads, gravel roads and some broken pavement. Or I can stick with the everything goes route that you better bring nobies and a change of socks cause your feet will get wet. It was a small group.
  6. I can spot many things wrong with that. 1. Ramp is to short and bike would have bottomed out on the tail gate. 2. As mentioned, who was gonna catch the bike in the bed. Guys too short to stay on the ground and hold bike in the bed. 3. Friends are idiots and just stand there. 4. Is it just me or is the bed of that truck a little small for the bike to even fit in at an angle. It's like a 3 ft bed! Future zoom splat professional in the making.
  7. I find it funny and sort of sad the number of older cruiser riders I talk with who say they used to ride dirt until their knees, arms, back was so beaten up they couldn't do it anymore. Then they see my dual sport rides and say, "I like that and could probably get into gravel roads and such again, but I have so much money in this bike".
  8. Pryor will be remembered as the player that cost Tressel his job. That is all.
  9. Nice, good to see someone other than a tourer with full gerbings out in the snow. I wasn't home in that photo, I had ridden 75 miles to a garage day in "Crazyberg". It stopped snowing before I got home that evening. Lots of people were giving me thumbs up from inside their cars as I plowed through the snow.
  10. If you really wanna find off road trails in the Smokies near Deals Gap you gotta get in touch with Dan at Crawfords Campground near Murphy, NC. If he's got time he might even ride with you on some of them. (Shameless Plug) Nice place to stay also and much larger than some of the others camping areas. http://www.campclubusa.com/campgrounds/search_details.cfm/ccid-26192/Murphy-NC-campgrounds/Crawfords-Campground-&-Cabin-Rentals/ Kind of a cool group offroad shot, Caveman riders in a cave.
  11. Cold is a state of mind.
  12. She looks a little small for me to ride. Hate to break the back end on a bad get off.
  13. This year we stayed outside Murphy. Locals are nice enough to donate their time to put together group rides into areas outsiders might otherwise not see or find.
  14. Or proof you have friends. Today near Old Mans Cave Last month in North Carolina
  15. I thought it might be Casper. Boy was I wrong.
  16. Must be the butterflies and unicorns stickers. You should have asked him which male auto prosthesis in the lot was his. I'm sure it compensates for something.
  17. Call it a ATGATT check, if he can get up he can ride away prepared for a zoom splat moment.
  18. The rest must just shake their heads and say, "must be rich enough to afford all those speeding tickets."
  19. BMW right? I hate that so much That comment may get under your skin but I think it's a real badge of honor. A woman boss, lawyer, doctor or politician isn't anything special anymore, but a woman who can 1. ride a normal sized bike or larger, 2. not have to ask the guys to come hold it up every time she tries to get on and 3. put up the money to get it herself is special. For us guys it kind of takes a second for the coolness of that to sink in and the shock to wear off.
  20. Only comment I seem to get is on the KLR and KTM when people ask "what sort of dirt bike is that" or "is that street legal?" My favorite question was at QSL in Polaris when a t-shirt and leather vest asked me "Who makes my KTM" with the big KTM across the tank. I should have said Harley, black and orange right?

    Moped Gangs?

As a kid my moped was fun and took me so many places. Yesterday I was at Remharts Kawasaki and they has a bunch of tomas mopeds. I was slightly shocked at how tiny they looked. But I guess as a kid if I'd known someday I'd own the bikes I have now I'd have shit on it's seat and set it on fire.
  22. Sounds like a smart guy. I used to wear lace up shoes when I mountain biked in NY. It only took one time for the lace to get caught up in the spindle before I switched to velcro shoes. Can't imagine getting a lace caught in the sprocket of one of the bikes. On longer trips I have real foot ware so no tennis shoes needed.
  23. I saw that on the news and the rider admitted he practiced the jump for a long time so technically it wasn't the first time he'd done it, right?
