Tons of rumors on twitter and racing websites Rossi just signed a 2 year deal with Yamaha. Also Spies is headed to BMW WSBK. No links cause i suck but just google. I think its funny Stomer could ride a Ducati to championships but not Rossi the "best roadracer ever?" Cant wait to see if he can produce next year on a Yamaha.

Dont waste your money!! I bought this exact model 1 year ago. The posts and upper are metal but the connectors are flimsy plastic. It buckled in low low wind. If you pick one up let me know if they made any improvements on the design.

Had one, front brakes locked up super easy. Happened to me twice one resulting in a crash... Sold it Other than the brakes fun bike easy to ride great riding possition. Wore the foot peg feelers down to bolts on my first ever track day.....

Yea make sure all trails are open before you go. Many are closed since last week due to the storms that blew though there. I guess they had so many trees down they closed the entire system. If I am not racing I may head down. We stay at Begleys ATV campground.

I think we need to go back to the "Bob Stanley" way of a pre race meeting. He would pull everyone together after lunch and go over safety concerns and reminders. Especially with all the NEW racers. Hell even with the old ones as well, coming back after a break .....or whomever. Its doesnt matter. When you r all pumped up you have to keep safety tips running through your head. I know it did help me many races. I cant ever stress how much safety plays such a major part in racing and is so often overlooked by riders. No one will keep us safe out there but US!

I am in Akron and have helped a lot of women learn to ride. I have intructed for the fasttrax/motoseries school for many years. I also have dirtbikes for training tools. I think it does help to start on a dirtbike. But some instructors dont feel the same. Anyways my offer stands to anyone in the area.

We ride our dirtbikes and quads at wayne national forrest. You have to pay a fee though... Its 250+ miles of groomed trails. Probs gonna be packed this weekend. We stay at Begleys ATV campground they have direct acess to trails.

:bow:No I dont think you are being a dick, your thoughts are welcome that what this thread is for. Let me correct what i stated before .. Its "around" $300.00 and yes we do use the race tires for practice. We are able to do that because we dont practice a ton and we dont go fast enough to tear em up that bad. So $300 is conservative it tends to vary from $300 to $400 depending on parts and travel.

Heck i may follow you around 4 i hate that turn every time i try and drive deeper i over shoot it. And i need to brake later after the kink at 12. Do you use rear brake there? I see you brake later than me way after the pavement change. I was considering getting a thumb rear brake just for this reason. I used to be able to turn 12's on my 600rr now just 14's and 15's.

You are welcome to follow me around next friday night practice on the 8th. I know it helped me to follow a seasoned racer when i was getting started. Lines are everything at that track since its so bumpy and fast.

Dont know who that was but he misinformed you. I have been racing there for 13 years and i have never had a problem in 13 on patches. You cant make any time in 13. The racers line if not passing is swing wide at entry shoot as straight as you can on exit. Of course stay away from the edge of track and rubber balls. Follow some racers around there a few times there are all kinds of lines. I just prefer mine ;')

If its your bike and you are absorbing the cost of the spares then you can sell them when you are donne racing. I didnt ask my team to pay for spares i just bought them and if they crash they just paid me for the psares they used. There are a lot of differernt ways to set up the team. We are a shoestring budget like most racers racing in motoseries. I think the above post is fair but on the HIGH side. It only costs us 300 a piece. And we haul a fifth wheel and eat WELL! Of course we dont drink either lol. So dont be afraid to set up a shoestring budget for your first year. And on the bike sharing thing... all my partners have thier own bikes to practice on. Granted they are not the same model or make but similar. I dont know of many teams past or present that have run more than 1 bike in endurance for motoseries/fasttrax unless they had big sponsors.
