SCCA is usually fine but honestly, I believe other clubs are better for casual drivers ...ie: non racers

the PDX program is nice but it s not up to the level of other clubs' driver school programs like the PCA, BMWCCA, 10/10ths and NASA.....just my 2 cents

but the SCCA's racing is undeniably some of the best racing for amateurs.....but it's aging quickly and losing favor to NASA in this region

my 1st ride? well...aside from the MSF course

I rode my new bike a quarter mile from the money/title exchange transaction to my place.......then later I went out for a quick jaunt up Riverside Dr, due North from where 257 and 161/33 meet in downtown Dublin since there was still a couple of hours of daylight. It was so much fun just taking in the sights and working the little parallel twin engine hard to 10,000RPM. it sounded so good with the Jardine pipe

thinking about that ride makes me miss that little naked bike....my orange with a rust mark on the tank from where it has been laid down 1998 Suzuki GS500

you really never forget your first. a coworker currently owns it and I still look at the GS500 with envy every time I ride in to work on my Duc and park by it (designated motorcycle parking)

buy a ducati 748

ride mine and you'll see why you d want one. Sure it only makes a hair under 100hp but it s got TORQUE! torque is king on the street

update:

The Senna documentary finally got a widespread USA release date for us to enjoy. It was originally slated to (and was) shown at 2 theaters in LA and NYC (the latter of which I actually used to live within 2 blocks of on St Marks Place)

I had downloaded the documentary on torrent but I decided to wait to see it on the big screen.
