Have you called they guys at Triumph of Cinci? Mark the manager is a cool guy. Haven't had any work there yet but I did buy my Daytona there a few weeks ago and had a great time.
had no idea there was a triumph dealer in cinci?

I need to get the 12k service done on my 05 sprint, but the valve check is the portion of it, that I don't particularly have time to do myself at this point. Does anyone have any recomendations as to a shop, who will do a good job? I've never had a shop do work for me, as I've always done my own. Thanks in advance!

I miss the bike so much. I've been putting my gear on and straddling my wife and making vroom vroom noises. But I have a few in my sights for next fall or following spring.
You can take it for a spin anytime you'd like @Anden

Well, being I had a minor setback with my red Sprint. It looks like you guys will get to fight over if the blue or silver ones will officially be fastest again. Good luck with the new ride, they live up to the hype.
What happened ?

All, but it really is only a problem if abused. There are many 100k+ mile 01 and 02 bikes on the FZ1 form. Make sure it can handle the load up to redline and shits normally from 1-2 and 3-4.
This here. My fz1 had a lot of track time under its belt.

That's a Bagster tank cover. Matching tank bag clips into it. Hole in center for fuel. Awesome setup and not too common outside Europe. Always wanted a Bagster system for the SV
Beautiful bike
I've not heard of bagster. That's actually a factory triumph bra and tank bag attachs as you said. I'd be willing to bet , bagster makes them for triumph! Thanks for the kind words

I forgot to add 03+ was good. They changed the part. Pre 03 only had 3 dogs vs post 03 having 5. If I recall correctly. Been way too long.

My Gen 1 was great. Ivans jet kit, and a slip on. Mine made 136 rwhp. It did everything, from touring, to track days, to commuting. One thing to be aware of is the second gear issue. Mine lost second gear. On your test ride, if you can, make sure to take it to red line. Mine started jump out of gear around 8-9000rpms. Ended up being cheaper to replace the entire engine, than just the gears. My fz1 also had an ohlins piston kit done by traxxion dynamics and a penske rear shock. Had a magura front master cylinder and braided lines. Best brakes i've ever used. It was a rock solid, super dependable motorcycle. The only reason I got rid of it, was shear boredom.

I am currently looking at a two different motorcycles. Triumph Sprint ST, VFR of the 98+ flavor. Does anyone have one they are looking to sell? Yes, I realize Brian's garage queen is for sale, but its out of my current budget.

This is the video I was actually shooting for...

Well, I can tell you 30k isn't high miles. The f4i, in my opinion is one of the best street bikes ever made. Quick, reliable, handles well, cheap to maintain. Makes good streetable power. You don't have to rev it to 340495 RPMs to ride it. I'd personally hang on to it.

This is bad news. Next they will hit Power Commander and the like directly.
This was my initial thought as well. It very well could be a slippery slope, and this is just the start.

I'm interested

Looking at buying a 98-01 VFR. Whats the good, bad and ugly? I haven't totally ruled out the 94+ 750 models yet but I prefer the idea of the fuel injection on the 98+.

I'm a potential spectator. No super moto here anymore. But I may bring the kiddo out and watch for awhile.

Can anyone recommend a triumph dealer or shop for service?
