  1. I agree with you in most situations. But going on a hike in an area with deadly animals and taking along a long gun for protection, doesn't fall under attention whoring in my book. If it had been a shotgun or a bolt action rifle, there wouldn't have been an issue.

I trust an AR15 against a mountain lion more than I trust a sidearm.

Deadly animals are not a threat at rifle range. Shooting one at the range a rifle is needed is poaching, not defense of ones self or child. His side arm was sufficient. The rifle was over kill and trying to be a bad ass for his kid on the walk. IMO.

Reason for arrest no. He had the the Leo attention coming and deserved a stop. He had it coming. I don't agree with his action or the Leo action but he did it to himself and I doubt he will win any legal action

  2. I can tell you this, I've been in a contact situation with a cop 5 times now that I've had to inform..... 4 of them were total dicks for no reason. Of the 5 only 2 were I being stopped for something I did. 1 speed 1 exp tag "honest mistake 1 week after my birthday" 4 in 5 were total dicks the one that was not was State Patrol, the dicks were 3 local and 1 sheriff. In the Sheriffs defense I did have my dog with me and he was growling the whole time. However no reason to be a dick I will give benefit of doubt in that instance.

This situation here, I'm sure both are to blame but I see no reason to be arrested

  3. 14 days. Clean your snips good with alcohol Then soak finger in water for 5 mins or so, pull out of water, dip in peroxide for a few seconds, snip all stiches by the knot, rub neosporin on the cut ends you'll be pulling thru then grasp the knot with clean tweezers and pull out. Rub a lil more neosporin on the area and cover it for the night.

That's what I do anyway. Your mileage may vary

  4. Gonna move my dog tag given this advice. Thanks.

You're welcome. It will never make it to the hospital if its in your tank bag.

If its important enough for the medic or hospital to know, have it on your person. Don't count on friends to relay info either, they get caught up in the moment and forget.

Wristbands and necklaces are great places too. I'm gonna see the necklace when I put you on the monitor and the wristband when I get an IV going ;)

  5. Nice little device I carry that was handed out at a meet & greet I attended for another forum. http://www.theicedevice.com/pages/home

Those are nice but they get left behind by EMS. I'm guilty of it too and I know to look for them.

When we get called out on a crash or other trauma we try to asses, package and roll as fast as possible and just never spend time looking for those on keys and such. Keep them in a pocket of your clothes, not jacket. Your clothes will always make it to the ER with you. Your leathers may get cut off and left at the scene but we cut the clothes of in the squad. Trauma centers protocol is to have you naked on arrival so clothes are cut off in route but left on the cot so keep it in your pockets or I have seen a few times, sharpied on your chest. Can also be in or on your helmet too as we will most always take the helmet with us to the ER for the doc to see point of impact.

On your keys or under your seat will 99.9% of the time be left behind.

If you have an alergy to a drug, rare blood type, religious believe against treatment ect the absolute best is written on your chest with a sharpie.

  6. That second video shows how tough she is, thanks Brandon.

Think about that next time you think "it's a girl". I know a shit ton of guys that would be screaming like a baby laying there in a ditch with you ribs and arm broke, liver bleeding out and your leg out of socket. You didn't hear a single complaint from her nor excitement. Jess is tough as nails and if you've not met her in person your missing out.

  7. Lol no uh ohs. Well no new ones.

Broke the Pazzo the beginning of last season and the nose the season before that. Zip tie stitched the nose back together and put the oem lever back on. Just never got around to finding another lever or nose. So seeing if any are out there. Most dealers only sold the Pazzo in pairs when it happened so I didn't bother.
