They weren't imported here. Not sure how it has a title here either. One of a kind here may be a stretch but definitely not very many here.
Its no race bike though

I group is scary. I'm going to be a N hero for life

I tried to pre order the 790 from them, that was highly entertaining to say in the nicest way. I ended up elsewhere.
-
That is why I ordered it lol.
I can track my 690 easily, it just tops at 100 so it's not as much fun at Mid O or PIRC. It's better suited at Putnam.
Its a beast on county roads though. That's the main reason I got it.

Sold the RR and GSXR like 2 seasons ago. You weren't a track whore then

Awesome gesture Tim!
never done a track day yet, primarily because I didn't want to get addicted or chance wadding up my baby, but what the hell. In!
I would actually like to get you to the track. You would love it and benefit from it big time.
And you have a far greater chance of wadding it up on the street rides with me than you do at the track.
-
But you just said yourself you've not seen me there so clearly I don't have the track time ??
-
What's this track day stuff you speak of? Sounds like something I'd like to try. Sign me up

I believe the fork tube is slightly discolored. The seals seem fine. I'll have to check again come spring. Paul had just replaced them recently before I bought the bike. The suspension on that thing is so wrong for me, it's hard for me to tell if its just overly sprung front and back or what. I agreed to by a zx6 rear shock off @J_Copeland, hopefully that swap isn't too difficult and I can do it in my garage. I need to get that damn zx14 shock outta there, I'll hit a bump on the highway and if I compress the suspension just a tad, I'll launch the rear wheel off the ground (which is fun sometimes, but mid corner its downright scary.) After I get a more reasonable shock out back, I hope to get a better feel for what else needs to be changed or adjusted.
I've got the oem GSXR600 shock off my track bike still. It's an 07. Probably a direct bolt on. It's been sitting here on the shelf since the Penske went on

I'm waiting for RD to start selling bikes at 70% discount every holiday season.
Right. I ordered one of the Bell helmets. Still full price at IP.

Is yours sidewayz too?
When I hit that bump just off the race line in China Beach and in the Carousel, yes, very sideways.

Yellow plater for lyfe right here
Zero shame.
And it's racist to judge someone based on color so let me live my life! I self identify as yellow

I group hero here!
Right! ?
I stay in I and race in N because bragging rights and trophies are life. What group you got them in is irrelevant ?

But I is more fun. It's the meat grinder class. It's where all the unpredictably and adventure is.

The Yamaha dealer that was only 5 miles from Road Atlanta didn't even sell sport bikes. Only cruisers, dual sport and off road. That one really confused me due to the location

Except when they sit, unsold, taking up space, insurance and floor plan financing.
This.
WheelSports is a dirt dealer. Always has been. They only sponsor and support dirt racing. They have no interest in street or street customer base so no reason to carry street. Not sure why that's odd to you many dealers do it.
Take Iron Pony for example. How many boats, skis, cars do you see there? Suzuki and Honda make
cars
Yamaha, Polaris, Canam and Honda all make water craft. And snowmobiles
When we raced at Road America and our Zuma broke we drove past two Yamaha dealers to get to one that carried scooters to get a part. It's common practice.

I don't understand, if they are a KTM dealer how can they be primarily off road? Wouldn't they carry the whole line?
They will order in whatever you want. But as far as stock they keep everything dirt related in stock.
Street stuff though they only have a couple. Same with parts.
Thats why we have to drive to CCM for parts through the race season.
-
Motocat have you actually been there or have KTMs?
That video tour is not accurate.
-
They are predominantly an off road dealer.

Im in for the museum and day drinking.
No there's not. And the dealers don't have the 18s yet. Those are only at the show

I have a Baxley, makes strapping easy. BUT my life could be easier. I want to save that 5-7 min it takes to strap the bike down each time. Multiply that by however many track days, then multiply that number by 4 (strap to go to track, unstrap, then strap to go home and unstrap at home.) At least that's how I'm rationalizing it.
Which brings up another point, I'm a professional rationalist. If you need help rationalizing that purchase your wife and/or significant other initially said no to, I'm your man!
It's not the time saved as much as the worry free transport. The bike isn't going anywhere. Straps come loose, break and bike falls. Bike is solid in the TRS. And you can fit more bikes in trailer on TRS than you can strapped

Guess it was a dumber question than I thought. Are they ever going to FI them?
Nope I like everyone else thought it was a great question. Same question I ask when looking at a new model of anything
I WTB a Cargo Van
in Dumpster
Posted
I'm half heartedly looking for a cargo van to turn into a track van/motor hauler/shit I can't fit in my Jeep hauler. Not looking for expensive or super nice sprinters. If anyone here has one you're thinking getting rid of or if you work somewhere that's selling off company vans let me know
