  1. I'm half heartedly looking for a cargo van  to turn into a track van/motor hauler/shit I can't fit in my Jeep hauler. Not looking for expensive or super nice sprinters. If anyone here has one you're thinking getting rid of or if you work somewhere that's selling off company vans let me know

    Awesome gesture Tim!

never done a track day yet, primarily because I didn't want to get addicted or chance wadding up my baby, but what the hell.  In!

I would actually like to get you to the track. You would love it and benefit from it big time.

And you have a far greater chance of wadding it up on the street rides with me than you do at the track.

I believe the fork tube is slightly discolored. The seals seem fine. I'll have to check again come spring. Paul had just replaced them recently before I bought the bike. The suspension on that thing is so wrong for me, it's hard for me to tell if its just overly sprung front and back or what. I agreed to by a zx6 rear shock off @J_Copeland, hopefully that swap isn't too difficult and I can do it in my garage. I need to get that damn zx14 shock outta there, I'll hit a bump on the highway and if I compress the suspension just a tad, I'll launch the rear wheel off the ground (which is fun sometimes, but mid corner its downright scary.) After I get a more reasonable shock out back, I hope to get a better feel for what else needs to be changed or adjusted.

I've got the oem GSXR600 shock off my track bike still. It's an 07. Probably a direct bolt on. It's been sitting here on the shelf since the Penske went on

Except when they sit, unsold, taking up space, insurance and floor plan financing.

    This.

WheelSports is a dirt dealer. Always has been. They only sponsor and support dirt racing. They have no interest in street or street customer base so no reason to carry street. Not sure why that's odd to you many dealers do it.

Take Iron Pony for example. How many boats, skis, cars do you see there? Suzuki and Honda make

    cars

Yamaha, Polaris, Canam and Honda all make water craft. And snowmobiles

When we raced at Road America and our Zuma broke we drove past two Yamaha dealers to get to one that carried scooters to get a part. It's common practice.

I don't understand, if they are a KTM dealer how can they be primarily off road? Wouldn't they carry the whole line?

They will order in whatever you want. But as far as stock they keep everything dirt related in stock.

Street stuff though they only have a couple. Same with parts.

Thats why we have to drive to CCM for parts through the race season.

I have a Baxley, makes strapping easy. BUT my life could be easier. I want to save that 5-7 min it takes to strap the bike down each time. Multiply that by however many track days, then multiply that number by 4 (strap to go to track, unstrap, then strap to go home and unstrap at home.) At least that's how I'm rationalizing it. :dunno::lol:

Which brings up another point, I'm a professional rationalist. If you need help rationalizing that purchase your wife and/or significant other initially said no to, I'm your man!

It's not the time saved as much as the worry free transport. The bike isn't going anywhere. Straps come loose, break and bike falls. Bike is solid in the TRS. And you can fit more bikes in trailer on TRS than you can strapped
