  1. MidO doesn't because they run their own event. Stt always does. Yes Nesba doesn't but they take the risk by paying a higher rental.
  2. Brian, just get your bike ready, I'm coming for you this year.
  3. at least the helmet number thing got resolved on afj.
  4. yea, looks like typical I passing rules. 6 feet and outside of turns.
  5. Brian may have made a smart choice on this one. If there are 45 people out there it will be a mess. I have seen 30 at beaverun and it was horrid.
  6. I know if you do a Mido, STT or motoseries event you follow a coach. There is no passing unless your coach pulls the group over to let another group pass. There is no need to worry about someone stuffing you.
  7. Most novice programs will give examples of how the drill for that session will cary over to the street. It's not a skill that only applies to one form of riding. I have seen everything from cruisers to sportbikes. As for crashing, you ride your own pace as if you were on a street ride.
  8. That was a good day, and nice bike.
  9. If you want some stuff to watch, grab keith code twist of the wrist I & II. They are really corny but there is a lot of good info. This along with some personal help will do wonders.
  10. same with STT or most orgs, they would rather take the lower rental. The problem is the track figures how many will show (riders, guests) and raise the rent to somewhat account for that. It would be nice if Todd or whoever could just cut a check for the riders and charge us the extra $10 leaving only the guests to pay at the gate.
  11. no, it's like a parade session for people looking to do a trackday at some point.
  12. The org can set it up this way but the track rental is higher then.
  13. Got ya, it's never a bad idea to wire above what the group calls for. Just make sure you can't see the brake light though the tape.
  14. Just how I like it. Also, don't go into the day expecting to get a bump. Show up like you have never been on a bike and absorb as much info as you can. If you make that jump to I too quick you will more than likely suffer later.
  15. You should never do your first day in I group, that is a really bad idea. They go over flags, getting on and off track, ect.
  16. Good old Keith Code survival reaction. I hear there are some good peeps at these trackday things.
  17. It's $10 per day, doesn't matter how you do it. Either $20 on sat for both days or $10 sat, leave and $10 sun.
  18. If you see a large group in front of you just say "I got this", and blast past them all.
  19. Got kenny loggins loaded into the mp3 player. Yea not thrilled about a possible 40 people per group.
  20. Yes, the price is the same for saturday or sunday. I think we would all love to see where the cash goes.
