Wow, good video. Those were more of the lines I was expecting, except for the old bastard on the 1k at the beginning. The plan is to spend most of saturday morning doing the single gear drill. I will latch on to whoever I can or grab Dubs dad for a tow. The only markers I caught were for 1 and the last right leading onto the front straight. Still working on the others.

My tank was a different color/shade of primer, the paint will be darker or lighter pending the primer.

I would prime it all, it will show up as different shades of paint. Ask me how I know.

I will have to check out the video, thanks Brian. As for brake markers, I couldn't pick up anything from the videos as in cracks in pavement, trees, whatever. I will try to slow down the one you posted to see what is there.

Well after watching some videos to figure some things out, all I figured out is 1. Looks like everyone is turning in early (not sure if it's just how the track runs) 2. people can't hit a damn apex 3. I see nothing for brake markers

Novice is usually just as basic as you can get. Everyone nailed it on what needs done. Novice prep should only take about 5-10 min, motoseries requires that you tape over glass so unless your lights are glass you don't have to do it. I still like to see it done so that the person behind you can't see your brake light, people tend to freak when they see them. If you do tape over your headlight, pull the plug or fuse so the headlight doesn't try to melt the tape, it can be a bitch to get off. Let me know if you have any questions, I'm not far from you I could stop up. Also, if you do a motoseries day I can give you a hand in the morning before you go through tech.

I guess I will do mine even though it wasn't as exciting as yours. august or september 2009, I think Jinu was there. The held the endurance and mini races on saturday after the trackday. It had rained all day and I had never been to nelsons. I went out as much as I could to figure the place out. Wouldn't you know it, the sun came out for the race. It was a 30min race then and I think I made it through about 22 min before my arm locked up from arm pump. I had to come in as there was no way I could finish. I guess lack of sleep and not eating all day didn't help.

For motoseries, Todd has it as 120% of race times for your class outside of nelsons. beaver - 0:57-0:58 would be around 1:15's grattan - 1:20 maybe teens would be around 1:35's and yes 1:30 for nelsons. I have no clue for times at mido or putnam. The math isn't 100% but these are time I have seen and appear to not have issues.
