  1. The Diablo Stradas are working great for me I've got 4400 miles on the set and from the looks of the tires I think I've got about another 3-4k to go and have never had them slip awesome in the rain.
Pirelli Diablos Stradas, little harder wear compound in the center of the tire. Softer on the sides for grip traction.Rated to 149mph+ Best prices I've found are at Iron Pony, mail order. See if there's someone local that will mount them for you. I pay a friend of mine $15.00 a wheel for mounting on an air assisted changer that has protected spoons. Avoids wheel scratches

I'm also running these , love them over the bt021 and pilots.

got mine for $95/$131.. 120\190, from:

a GOOD (local) guy i'm in a group with.

  2. Casper you getting a v-strom? Its a great great freeking motorcycle!!!! I have the 650 and love the thing.

JimmyC: i have a 97 TLS and will keep it forever! I put ohlins on the rear...

Yes love the TLs , hope to keep it forever, but torn between a beautiful 2005 FJR1300 or a 2005 Very Clean

Vee. waiting on the call for the vee, goin to see the FJR sunday.

  3. welcome,

so would that be a triple twin fetish?

i'm wondering what you think about the similarities and differences between tls' and rc51' ( in the mood for another bike)

if you see me on big red in southeast ohio wave me downnnn..

  4. OK, here's my 2 cents.

going from a inline 4 to a in line SIX, i said i would never go BACK to a 4 , well I didn't , I got a vtwin, granted its a 1000, but its has been the best one yet ( IMO ) for me. I'm now looking for another on , this time a DL1000/650 ( keeping the TLS ).

The torque, the sound ( D&D ) got to love it.

+ i've always liked having something a little different ,

the gladius is the first bike i look at every time i go to the shop

  5. How do you tell male gulls from females?

There's no easy way without direct contact with the gull. They both share similar coloring. The only real external visible difference is, females are usually slightly smaller than their male counterparts.

i know i'm getting behind on this thread :D.

at the beach last month , i notice a few , maybe only one or two real big gulls in a group of twenty or so.

what are the real big ones?

  6. Do you ahppen to know if 148 between 145 & 800 is still covered with gravel?

ran it monday from 800 to 7 , no real loose gravel , but kinda ruff, not very smooth of a surface, imo need some more real hot days and some traffic to SMOOTH it out some.

  7. Use a periscope to see over that tank bag? :)

    no , i'm six three

I used to have a TLS. At one point, I owned 3 (ebay horror story for another time). I loved that motor, hated the rear suspension.

Your 97 was the birth of one of the best motors to ever be put in a motorcycle IMO.

thats why i was asking you before about the dl650,

after riding the tl1000, i didnt think i would be happy with anything but another big twin, have my eye on a k4

dl1000 ( will most likely do 98-99% ON road.)

  8. . Did the crane lower you onto the seat?

no crane , i squeezed in ALL by myself.

now getting of that was interesting.

I hope you had a nice time in.... Where'd you go?? :D

pittsburgh- urichsville oh- north bend state park wva-

all the way across wva on rt 50 to mt. storm wva - pgh

Was this a tractor pull event? :)

oh and i DID win the tractor pull , ya know the torque

    these big v-twins have......:trophy:
