  1. Hands up if you thought he painted his dog.
  2. Link? I'd like to see that too.
  3. I read up on this. That woman is disabled and uses the Segway because she can't push the stroller in her wheelchair. http://gizmodo.com/5602600/i-am-very-sorry-segway-stroller-lady
  4. The AWB Specifically bans lowers for known rifles - have to await the wording before we know if they are grandfathered too.
  5. Here's what I get when I google "infringe"
  6. Nah. MJ would die of alcohol poisoning before she thought I was hot.
  7. That must suck for people like me, who looks like the wrong end of a hippo to begin with.
  8. Waiting for the text too. The title is; "A bill to regulate assault weapons, to ensure that the right to keep and bear arms is not unlimited" Infringed = Limited (dictionary definition) = The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be limited. = The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall be unlimited. <> to ensure that the right to keep and bear arms is not unlimited
  9. Also - she will ban "characteristic that function as a grip". Look at this: http://www.hallowellco.com/grip.htm#Grip%20Styles A grip is the bit where your trigger hand holds the rifle. All rifles have a grip. This bill, as worded, would ban all detachable-mag semis. I'm looking for the bullet-button wording now... Get around the detachable-mag thing and the rest of irrelevant.
  10. We have some of the bill's wording now: http://www.nraila.org/news-issues/articles/2013/1/feinstein-introduces-massive-semi-auto-firearm-and-magazine-ban.aspx With no registration, how can you prove you owned a your rifle before the ban was implemented? I know that new rifles will be stamped with date of manufacture, but preban guns have no date.
  11. NOW they are reporting that Carlton Berry was not a shooter, he was *with* the shooter. The shooter is 22yo Trey Foster - who claims to have a CHL. The police, though, have said "This has been investigated and there is no evidence to support this claim." http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=news/local&id=8966430
  12. After Sandy Hook Amazon sent me an email stating that my pre-order of Grand Theft Auto V was indefinitely delayed. Soon after that they gave me a definite date, though.
  13. His balls are big enough he has to carry one in each saddle bag.

    Screw Groupon

I got a groupon as a gift from a friend. The store that issued it (Bob Sumerel Tire) refused to honor the face value (free oil change) and would only honor the purchase price of the coupon ($19). The friend reported them to groupon. Groupon said tough.
  15. Makes you realize how much Darwin is laughing at us when you hear about some older guy get wiped out by a drunk driver while sitting at a red light while fully geared up and riding by the book. Survival of the fittest, not the smartest.
  16. If you piss off to NH then who's gonna run OR?
  17. I'm sure it won't pass as written - but I refuse to believe it will be worse than Diane Buttstain is asking for. The car dealer wants 20k for the car, you offer 18k, you eventually pay somewhere between 18k and 20k or the deal falls through - but you don't wind up paying 25k. Unless you are a shit negotiator.
  18. That's what I read, but it's ambiguous. We'll have to see the actual wording of the law.
  19. I wanna see how they define bullet buttons. If you can get past the "detachable magazine" then the rest of the gun is legal. I've seen an attempted bullet button ban that simply expanded the definition of a detachable magazine to include; "Any magazine that can removed by simply depressing a button or latch with a tool." So, bullet buttons become "coin buttons" where a coin is used in a slot in the mag release button and you twist the button rather than "depress" it. Fixed. Again, requires a tool for removal and it's not simply a button you press with a tool.
  20. They list the Norinco 56S (AK-style) but not the Norinco 56 (SKS). Now, my SKS has the tapco conversion with pistol grip and 20rd duckbill mags, so that makes it illegal unless grandfathered. It's all bullshit anyway. Think how long it takes to get legislation in, then think how long it takes entrepreneurial Americans to slide past the ban for a quick buck. THE BIG QUESTION>>>> The wording is that grandfathered weapons are exempt from the bill - does that mean they can still be sold/transferred?
  21. If there is no registration then they will have to require post ban guns to be marked like they did in '94. Probably something like "Military/Police only 2013". Or they could be sneaky and use the same marking from '94 and effectively ban the guns made during the prior ban.
  22. They DID mention requiring safe storage for grandfathered guns...
  23. http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/entry/feinstein-details-new-senate-assault-weapons-ban Didn't see any mention of NFA registration - but I did see this: Suggests that "pre-ban" rifles will still be legal for sale after the ban comes into effect. Watch the price of these rifles go even higher now. As preban gun supplies will be limited, postban guns will be neutered, and real Americans will continue to demand the preban models. I think my AR and 922r SKS just doubled in value, again, with that annoucnement. (Actually, I wonder if the SKS is on her hit-list) So now the next shooting happens with a 10 round mag and they drop it to 5...
