  1. I agree but hey, I am just happy to get Amsoil in the store. They have not had it for some time and they decided that there is enough demand to give it a try. So far they have been doing very well with it so that is good. It is nice for Amsoil customers that frequent Iron Pony. Now they can purchase their oil and other motorcycle products at one location instead of having to search around for Amsoil. With the addition of Yamaha of Columbus and their service department it is also convenient for Amsoil users that want to have their oil changes done for them. Maybe down the road if they continue to do well with Amsoil they will move it onto a standard shelf. We will see. I can't control where the product is placed, I just try to deliver their oders quickly so no one goes in to purchase Amsoil and finds that the product they need is sold out.
  2. Amsoil does not offer a 10W/50 oil. I'm sure you would be fine with either the 10W/40 or 20W/50. Heck the 20W/50 has a pour point of -38 F. so unless you are riding in extremely cold temperatures you would be fine with that and you would still maintain the heavier viscosity of the 50 weight when the motorcycle is up to normal operating temperature.
  3. Iron Pony has expanded their Amsoil display by adding another rack and 3 more oils. The newly added products are Amsoil 10W/30 Motorcycle oil, Amsoil 0W/40 Powersports oil and Amsoil 10W/40 Scooter oil. This brings the number of Amsoil products offered at Iron Pony to 9. The complete list of Amsoil products in stock at Iron Pony is as follows: 0W/40 Powersports Oil 10W/40 Scooter Oil 10W/30 Motorcycle Oil 10W/40 Motorcycle Oil 20W/50 Motorcycle Oil Interceptor 2-Stroke Oil (Injector) Dominator 2-Stroke Oil (Pre-mix / Racing) 80W/90 Gear Lube 75W/140 Severe Gear
  4. Went to Broken Arrow today. Got my string taken care of and added a peep sight. By the time I got home it was to dark to try the new set up with my own arrows. Can't wait to get it dialed in. Only 24 days.
  5. The only one I have in running condition at the moment is is the 2008 Vulcan 900 I have listed in the "Bike Shop." Sold the rest and am waiting to get more until I have some good buyers or we get closer to spring when I can move them.
  6. I had the same bullshit with Columbia Gas. They would bring the little card and I would call in my reading but once a year or something they had to come do an actual reading. I told them that I work during the day. At first they tried to get me to set up an appointment during the day and I said no. Then they reluctantly gave me a number to call to schedule an evening appointment that was convenient for me. I called and scheduled the evening appointment. They came out, got their reading and everyone was happy. Just tell them you can't do it during the day period.
  7. If you came geared up and ready to ride I would just let you lead and try to keep up. Otherwise, you would be all over me and I would probably get run over by the outlaw when my squid ass washes out the front end in a corner or something.
  8. Welcome! I wonder if your Burgman could beat a Ninja 250 in a drag race?
  9. Yea, it was great. I would be worried if Todd were on a bike. I think he would have schooled all of us. He was hanging with the bikes on his quad through the trails. Pretty impressive.
  10. Did you ask them if they had others in your size at the store? They can only get so much in the trucks they take to the events but they have so much inventory at the store that I would be suprised if they did not have it in stock.
  11. No, not moving down. I don't keep any street bikes long term. Aside from my Amsoil business I am also a motorcycle wholesaler. Due to the economy this year I have not had much luck selling to dealers or exporters so I have been selling some bikes to retail customers at wholesale prices in order to keep some units moving. This is one of those deals.
  12. Sorry Todd. I'm not the greatest with names and generally when I meet people from OR there are several at one time, then you throw user names on top of real names and it's a bitch to remember them all. I will not get it wrong again though. Wow good catch on Angrish's wifes shirt. I didn't catch that today as we talked about donuts and Little Debbie snacks.
  13. Great day for riding at Briarcliff. Nice to meet some more OR members. Left to Right. Casey(Angrish), (Stacy) Angrish's wife, Steve (420GSXR1000), Matt(Modern Synthetics), NOT PICTURED BUT PRESENT Todd(1000rrrider) met at QS&L but good to see again and Terry from Ohio Motorcycle. Man I am feeling the effects of riding on an MX track for the first time in 2 years. Ouch, I'm sore all over, can barely type.

  15. No need for me to get into the car salesman mode. I'll let you take this one. "VN900 is overall a solid daily rider. Also, EFI in case anyone cares." Thanks Bro. Whats your commission percentage?
  16. Cool. I am coming out there tomorrow. Probably won't be there at 10:30 though. Most likely around noon. I'll be in a red Silverado 1500 and riding a 2003 CRF450. On the track just look for squid on a CRF450 no numbers and that will be me.
  17. The bike is like new. If he is looking for a nice cruiser at a great price I assure you that he would not be disappointed with this bike.
  18. What do you guys drive? I was thinking about going to MotoGP but don't think I want to drive to Indy by myself. Saw this post and thought maybe I should come out to Briarcliff instead and so some riding instead of spectating. If I go out there tomorrow I will try to find you guys.
  19. Sorry man I couldn't resist, it was to easy. I can tell it's not the same bike by the exhaust and I hope no one takes my comment seriously.
  20. Obviously you are happy with the oil you are using. That's great, stick with it. I am putting this information out there for those people that would like to make an informed decision based on scientific testing. Yes, Amsoil paid for the study but don't you think they would have eliminated those categories where they did not finish first if they just wanted to hype their own oil? They did not finish first in every category. If you know of any studies conducted by other oil companies that show different findings please share them with us. I have not seen any studies by the other oil companies challenging these results. Sure some advertising like the TV commercials for Castrol Syntech, in which they claim "8x better wear protection than Mobil 1," is based on only one characteristic of an oil. This study is a compreshensive test that reviews many aspects of an oils performance. Sure there are other oils out there that will do the job of lubricating moving parts at a much lower price. It just depends what you want out of an oil and whether you are willing to spend a bit more for a premium product. The 1972 Chevrolet Impala I owned when I was 16 years old did the job of transporting me from one place to another but I sure would not want to use it as my primary transportation today. Some people do not see the benefit of using a premium product and they will not purchase Amsoil. I understand that but I also want to put the information out there so they can review it and decide for themselves.
  21. I have seen that before but I don't use it much here because it is not motorcycle related and it has links to another dealers site. I'm glad you posted it though. If I post to much Amsoil stuff the anti-Amsoil crowd gets restless and they start hammering me so it is good to see some others post positive things about Amsoil products. Thanks.
