  1. I usually give my old phones a firm rubbing on my taint when I turn them in to get the numbers transferred over.

I'll never win the war, but I still feel it's a mini-victory. Just think how many other phones that rep touches after mine... :)

Edit: Ok, I'm kidding... don't do that... I don't want YOUR taint juice accidentally ending up on MY new phone.

That was pretty freakin hilarious when i read it though..

  2. I didnt even bother reading any bit of this thread. Just so I can throw in my untainted 2 cents.. I travel all over the U.S. and have made a few flights across the atlantic. I carry both a verizon and an AT&T. My verizon is great for fast internet, and all the fun gadgets. But my AT&T service is uncompared.. IMAO

  3. Congrats man. A few suggestions I've picked up:

1: Change all the fluids. I don't care if they just changed the oil, change it again anyway. This way you are completely even keel with fluid maintenance, and you won't go 2 week riding it and suddenly the radiator busts because there's no coolant.

2: Change all the brake pads. For motorcycles, this is a 30 minute job. I just found out today when I changed my pads that the front brakes that were supposedly "just done" had the wrong pads, and they didn't fit the rotor. Again, even keel with pads. You should have already changed the fluid, right?

3: If the tires need it, change them too. Their riding style might differ greatly from yours, and if they like to go in a straight line that means the tire has some majorly uneven wear patterns. This is especially important for someone starting out, as it will be harder to get comfortable leaning into turns with bad tires.

If it needs work, make a priority list AND STICK TO IT. If you are anything like me once you have that thing apart you'll want to work on and upgrade everything in the world. Change only what you need to to get 1 or 2 done, then work on the rest after you've had some quality riding time.

Most of all, ride that sumbitch! Get yourself on 600rr.net and don't be afraid to search first and ask questions later.

I like that advice. Thank you. :plus1:

  4. Have I mentioned I hate you?

:p Nah but seriously though I'd kill myself if I didn't have snow to ski in.

yeah. I used to snowboard every season, I hear there are a few mountains down there.. not sure if i'll be anywhere close, or interested.. Thats make one K2 board and boots for sale. haha

  5. My personal choice for climates that have vast temp changes from season to season is fuel injection. There's nothing worse than wanting to go for a ride but having to let the engine rev for 5 minutes first. Of course, I'm one of those special people that took a New Year's ride in 13° Ohio weather, and have always ridden my bike year around.

This bike will only be riden by me in ohio for no more than two weeks. Then I'm taking it to San Diego, California. Riding season is all year!!
