You need someone that knows what to look for, I'm not saying I'm the person, but I did have my turbo/motor go out on mine and I know what that feels like. The flat four is a tricky engine to pin down when it comes to failure. I had 2 cracked ringlands with no noises, no smoke, just lumpy power delivery. A turbo will run you about 600-however much you wanna spend on it if you do the work yourself. A motor will cost 3k and up depending on how much work you can do.

I looked at the car Erik. I can tell you with confidence that the car has been modified and returned to stock.

The brakes, turbo, possibly engine failure if it isn't the turbo. Sti's and evo are very easy to fuck up when modded improperly. Because these cars are getting cheaper and a younger demographic can obtain them many of them are modded wrong. Stay away from any car that has a CAI and BOV that is not tuned for them. I generally stay away from anything with a BOV and stock turbo.

Stay the fuck away from that car like the god damn black plague. That car is beat to shit. Hal you want to find one that as never been modified. There are many out there, maybe not in ohio, but I would seriously stay away from that one. I looked at it when I was looking for another one, it's thrashed.
