  1. I changed my front brake lines on my ZX11D.....

After installing the new ones I filled the reservoir of the master cylinder with brake fluid DOT4.

With the reservoir cap off I open the bleed valve, hold brake lever, close bleed valve, release brake lever......repeat.

I have been doing this for a while and all I see is few little air bubble in the master cylinder reservoir and the fluid stays the same level.

    My question is:

    Am I doing it right?

Do I need to bleed one line at the time or both at the same time?

How long it takes before the fluid comes out the bleed valve?

And lastly.....should I open the banjo bolts at the caliper to help fluid flow through the lines, and then proceed to bleeding the lines?

    All the help is appreciated.

    Thanks

  2. Put Galfers on my 600rr. Would recommend. If you're going to do it yourself (and there's no good reason why you wouldn't), I HIGHLY recommend slapping in some speedbleeders while you have the fluid out and the calipers naked. It's going to help putting everything back together immensely.

Where would I find such item "speedbleeders" ?

    Sorry for the dumb question...

    Thanks

  3. In Italian it translate the basic stuff. It's when you get into more serious translation, is where it gets lost, kind like all the other programs. I just laugh when it tries to translate something more complicated than 4 year old conversation.

  4. Where is Doomking's check in. Did he make the whole ride?

I am here ....couldn't force myself to come inside the house today, it was perfect day for anything outside.

Ride was great, tons of Harley all over, I think Inya might have found to whom the key chain belongs to !;)

Aside from a dick with a Cobra on 83S right after we left CircleK (The same guy that was fueling up with that black Cobra, Tod) that decided to play hard to pass. I love when retard like that think that they can outmaneuver motorcycle in traffic.

After he opened up to try to stop our passing, he had to slam on the brakes to slow for traffic, while all of our bikes zipped by him squeezing by. All those HP to waste sucker!!

Quick stop in Millsburg, and on our way to a quick turnaround via rt60 and back on 83.

Little problem with some "project"overheating, but couldn't have asked more for 4 hrs of fun.

Would be nice if the weather can give us another weekend, I'll wait little longer to put the bike away this year.

  5. I am glad to hear you're OK.

    Now ...welcome to the club.

I think there are two kind of riders, the ones that crashed and the ones that will.

I am sure you're going to learn from this like most of the riders will, just as you pointed out the mistakes you made, to lead you to crash, you'll remember for sure what not to do in a similar situation.

Don't you find kinda of weird how time slows down while all that shit is happening? You can recall some details that would be hard to remember otherwise.

Once again, I am glad you're OK, now you got all winter to fix your bike !;)

  6. you guys are heading west corret to meet with upinyaass

You guys want to meet up at the Lodi Bp station off 83 ?

For NEO let's meet around 9:30- 10 am at CircleK 82/83.

I'll check again before I leave to see is we still on.

Anyone knows is ynia is up and sober ready to go ??

  7. yea im gonna stay more local

We can hook up with you at the BP station in Lodi of 83 if you feel like riding in a group.

I think we can meet around 9 9:30 am and give the sun little time to work it's magic.

Then head down 83 to rt 60 area ...just a thought...

Maybe Ynia when he checks in later can offer more suggestions...
