  1. For the Dayton area, the least hassle off the bike tire mount for me has been Tires Unlimited on Wadsworth, off Needmore and I-75. I think the mount & balance fee if you bring in your own tires is $35 and if you buy the tires there, its $25. In the spring they are competitive with everybody on tire prices because they usually buy a crap load of the most popular blands and want to move them. Come summer they jack the prices to full retail. I usually drop my wheel off in the morning and pick up later the same day. Done a few while you waits too. I've been going there for somewhere around 10 years, no complaints. -- I heard something about chapter 13 filing this winter, so I dont know if they are still in business, I was there last fall.

  4. Ok - I admit its hearsay, but in my VFR forum where guys crank out a ton of miles a season, the general consensus is that the PR1s werent all that good. Feedback for the PR2s is very positive and simular with the RoadSmarts. I'm running a RoadSmart on the rear of my viffer and a Pilot Power on the front. Cost no object I would run sport tires 100% of the time. But I got damn tired (pun?) of replacing rear tires every 3000 to 3500 miles. I like the RS so far, I hope the mileage goes much longer than a sport tire. - I stuck the PP on the front mostly because I needed a tire and I got a crazy cheap deal on it, something like 80 bucks at the time. Quality and cheap gets my attention. I havent noticed really anything negative from the combination.
  5. 50 bucks, wheel on, and 40 bucks wheel off? Balance extra? I guess your paying a bit extra for the convenience of them coming to your door.

    Wax

^^^^^ A while back, California gave Honda a lot of crap about some VOCs or something close in the Honda Polish that was being sold. CA threatened a ban if Honda didnt change the formula. Being a super popular product, Honda didnt want that, so they came up with a new formula and then sourced it to a new manufacturer, thus hosing the people in Marietta Georgia who make the original formula stuff. So what doe the Marietta group do? Stick thier own label on it of course. "Original" Spray Cleaner and Polish. I tryed the "new" Honda stuff when it came out and didnt like it as much. The "Original"? Same as the 1st formula Honda Polish, because the same people have been making it since the beginning. Same cleaning power, same shine, same smell, because it is the same. Current Honda Polish, NO! ---- Original Polish, YES! http://www.originalbikespirits.com/SprayCleaner_Polish/

    Wax

I'm a big Meguiar's fan. For a high gloss finish I like thier NXT Generation tech wax 2.0. I like the paste wax. Incredible stuff. If I am doing a touch up, I like the Ultimate quik detailer. Then if I am just doing a quick once over, I really like "Original" Spray and Polish. It does a great job on just about anything on the bike. Spray wax? Not much of a fan of that except that I like to use the Meguiars Quik Wax for kind of a base while drying the wet car or bike. It makes it easy to then apply the final wax I want to go with on top of that.
  11. Jeez, didnt the guy see and get the big alarm bells going off in his head?! - "HEY IDIOT! THERE'S A HUGE FUCKING TRUCK ACROSS THE ROADWAY!" Amazing...and there was plenty of room to slow down and brake too.

I looked at the whole series and it is mindblowing! Beautiful classics and models to go with it. The 880 Norton was incredilble. Fantastic work!
  14. Yessss! Great job! Looks like it went well for you...
  15. Dont have one- but if I had a GF that wanted to go on trips, not much beats a GW for 2 up and keeping the woman happy. - If woman happy, I can get happy too. (did the non-biker wife thing once, bad idea.)
  16. ^^^^^ - I admit I'm not familar with your engine, but - with tapping holes, arent you creating chips that could fall into the engine? Just curious.....

  19. ^^^ Impressive work! Wish I had the patience to do the bondo/sand/bondo/sand/bondo/sand and then do it again finishing work. I hate bodywork.
