  1. Welcome Doc. If you get a chance, post up a pic of your HD.
  2. Use a periscope to see over that tank bag? I used to have a TLS. At one point, I owned 3 (ebay horror story for another time). I loved that motor, hated the rear suspension. Your 97 was the birth of one of the best motors to ever be put in a motorcycle IMO.
  3. Cool. I'll be there ~ 6. You should probably ride that clean rig thru some dirt on the way down....
  4. It's interesting that the jury separated the percentage of responsibility between the tobacco company and the smoker. What about the store that sold her the cigs? By this standard, are they not partially responsible?
  5. Nice rig:) Not sure what Givi cases you are looking at but you should be able to equip your bike pretty well for ~ $800. I have gone through a lot of different luggage setups in the past 10 years. I'm also pretty hard on stuff as you can see from my post above. That said, I highly recommend Givi luggage. The racks are some of the toughest available. My FJR was my first Yamaha and she's a keeper:)
  6. Dalton Highway, Alaska. 1 month ago.
  7. See you been riding for 2 years, did you learn on the busa? What happened to the merged thread, there was some funny shit in there...? Edit: Nevermind, I see it moved to the battle range.
  8. Thanks all for the kind words and warm welcome. Chris...
  9. Hey gang, I joined a few days ago. I met a couple of you at the meet and greet the other day...cool:cool: Figured I should do an official intro. Hello, my name is Brian and I'm addicted to motorcycles and sport touring. I've been on two wheels in all 50 states. I just finished my last 3 states (AK, WA, OR) about two weeks ago. The trip and pictures are here I like the site and it seems to be a good resource. I hope to meet more of you and perhaps ride together. Brian
  10. The problem is that "sounds good" is subjective. You may think your straight pipe twin sounds great, but others, myself included, think you're a self-absorbed dickhead. I like the mechanical sound of an engine as much as the next guy, especially twins. But if I can hear you from 4 blocks away, I don't care how good you think it sounds, it's too loud.
  11. Last time for me was 2005. I knew it was getting worse from web chatter but your pics have sealed the deal for me ~ never again. NW Arkansas and Vermont are good.
  12. Sorry, but this is absolute bullshit. This is the attitude and poor thinking that continues to perpetuate the stereotypes against motorcyclists. It is your responsibility as a motorcyclist to put yourself in proper lane position/position of visibility. God I hope you're kidding, but if not, people like you are fucking it up for the rest of us.
  13. Hello fellow Ohio riders. Just found the site last night and joined this morning, I will stop by on my ZRX...hopefully make some new friends.
