  1. I'd love to. I think now that I've done it once, the next time would be even better. I could take less gear / more money. There really is an endless list of things to see in AK.

  2. I'll wait until they put that motor in a naked, like a V4 Tuono.
  3. All you whores missed the bull horns on the front Do you know how fast it will be with that on there? Do ya? Nothing short of a full MotoGP bike will touch a star with horns. ignorant whores, all of ya
  4. Holy crap was that good. Wow!
  5. I think the Tiger explosion is partially a result of today's tech media. We've been flooded with news of Tiger the family man golfer. It gets ingrained in our brain. When we find out that something we believed is false, we get curious. Tiger needs to come out and take the media head on: "yeah, I banged a bunch of gold digging bitches, yeah I cheated, I like pussy and golf." "Any other questions?"
  6. There's a huge difference. You don't see how cheating on your wife is < a felony? Really?
  7. You have to do long big mile days when you can to keep the mile average up. If you do a 750 on the way to see the good stuff you're averaging that with a long 200 mile day taking pictures in the scenic areas. GNP is beautiful, it takes an entire day to enjoy it. Here is my trip report and pics including GNP on my way to Deadhorse from this year. Click I plan on hitting the Adirondacks hard for 2010 but if I have enough time left, I'd be interested. Brian
  8. We're probably pretty close. I'll bet my house arrest monitor wouldn't even go off from your garage...cool. What do I need to bring? I got a bunch of knives and nunchucks and stuff. Er wait, what kinda party is this again? I'd like to meet new peoples. And, I can go out in public again now that the Browns have won a game.
  9. Looks like the Strom performed well on a fun ride. Why not take your KLR?
  10. Another Thurman burger fan. Sometimes the wait makes you want to stab someone though.
  11. I will pay it off as soon as I get this global warming thing under control.
  12. Agree. What is the rest of this story? Why would your boss give you a $5,000 gift card to DC and not a bonus check of $5,000? Does the company you work for have direct dealings w/ Diamond Cellar? Some important info is missing here...
  13. I'm not suprised just disappointed with humans any more. I'm always on the lookout for a good deal and have bought 3 bikes from craigslist. I usually sort for ads w/ pics first. If you're too lazy to post a pic, I'm not gonna waste even a second clicking on your ad. It's the ones like ^ that waste people's time that
  14. Ass a fine conisewer of teh craigsislist this add cofuzes me. I really get tired of seeing (or not seeing in this case) this shit on c-list. You're not smart enough to tell us the year of the bike or how many miles are on it. These are the two things at the very least that should be in every vehicle ad. Is that you next to your bike in the 2nd pic?
  15. How many falls have they taken while practicing? It's not like you can practice that in a foam pit. Wow.
  16. If you like speed (with a ZX10, I'm guessing you do), and want 80+ mph for long periods of time, I would get the 1000. I'm sure the two 1000 owners in this thread will say the same.
  17. It will do it, but the engine will be "busy" and gas mileage will suck. If I'm going to be touring at those speeds, I take the FJR:)
  18. Just fine. I have 27,000 miles on mine, stock gearing, and I probably avg ~ 75mph (GPS) when I'm on the highway.
  19. Agreed. I bought my 05 DL650 two years ago with 3,000 miles for $4,200. I was coming off a long list of sportbikes and sport-tourers but wanted to start trying some of the dirt roads I had been seeing in my travels. What really sold me on the V-Strom was the pics online of how much it could carry. These things have 3rd row seating. Although it was never my intention, my 650 has become the beloved beater of my garage. I take care of it mechanically but beat the crap out of it otherwise. I ride it far more than my other bikes and I take it places it was never intended to go. I started with a Givi setup until this happened. I hit a patch of sand and lowsided at 55 mph. Just a banged up knee for me. The 650 went tumbling end over end on the rocks but the cases and mounts were intact and I rode it 2,000 miles home from Cali. For 2009 trip to Alaska, I talked myself into replacing my scratched up Givi side cases with the Caribou Case 36L system. I wanted the extra capacity and Caribou touts itself as the "world's toughest M/C luggage" The cases, which are not made by Caribou, are tough, but the racks are total garbage. I had a 20mph lowside in deep gravel and the racks bent like tin foil. I plan on mounting my cases to Givi racks next and will probably get another set of 21's for local grocery runs and weekend trips. I hope to meet/ride with some of you, Brian
  20. I give it thumbs up...but I'm 51% nerd.
  21. I sold my 12 in 2007. My screen name on 12r.org was OSU12R but I didn't post very much. Went to 3 different site events, 1 in Black Hills, 2 in TN. I know for sure I've met Avenger, I remember his 12.

  22. New around here but sure enough to say the only thing gayer than "rep points" on a MC forum is posting a pic with a dick in your mouth. ... popularity contest:trophy: Nick, I think I might have met you once..? 12org event maybe in TN?
