  1. Just to follow up, I did get a guitar. I looked at the Fender stratocaster, then the squire line, and the Ibenez RG series. I ended up getting an ESP LTD model M10 with gig bag, Mustang V2 amp, cable, stand and headphones for $400 at Sam Ash in Mayfield.

You can pre-order your tickets now for my world tour that will start in 2019.

  2. Ok, went to San Ash Music on Mayfield.

Whole different "vibe" in this store. So i told the sales guy Looking for first guitar, and I think I want a Fender strat. Because I like the feel of it.

He ask about my budget and type of music I like to play.

Long story short, I think I will be getting an Ibanez RG32 ($249 )  and a Fender Mustang V2 amp ( on sale for $99 ) The amp has a built in tuner, and 15 effects.

Add in a guitar stand, cable, head phones and a guitar bag, plus a hand full of picks for about $400 out the door.

I will pick all this up on Friday night. I would have got all this tonight, but I wanted a blue guitar. Sales guy Mike siad he should be able to get on Friday.

If not, I will "settle" for a black guitar,

    Thanks for all the replies.

  3. IP, I dont want to go too cheap = crap and hate it, but just need to start some where.

If I stay with it, I am sure I would upgrade.

I will check out Sam Ash on Mayfield and back to Guitar center.

At least guitars take up less space then motorcycles.....

  4. I know, I might as well ask about oil or tires.

I woke up Sunday thinking it would be time for me to learn how to play electric guitar.

The only musical experience I have is listening to the radio.

I have about a $400 - $450 budget. Now that summer is here, not sure I would stick with it to practice until winter, but figured I would just get one and start somewhere.

No plans to be in band or anything, just for personal development.

I like the 80's "hair bands", and hard stuff like Tool and Pantera.

Really like to try to learn the beginning of Guns and Roses, Sweet child of Mine

I went to Guitar Center to see the difference in brands, style and prices.

I really like the feel of the Fender Stratocaster, The American strat is out of the budget. A used mexico strat is about $299.

They also had the Fender Squire line, a few different types in a kit with an amp, cables and the other stuff you need to get started.

Is the Squire line decent to just out on? I figure for $300 for everything " all in one" is a good place to start.

    Thoughts?

  5. Speedy, we know how those free or low dollar bikes actually become not free and not low dollar.

If you can get the bike, and get it running and stopping safely, might not be too bad for the kids.

Then down the road, if they are still interested in riding, upgrade.

A guy in Automation has a 2006 yamaha but not sure if it was a 125 or a 150?

He got it for his kid, but he stopped riding it.......the price is right and was last rode summer of 2013.

If I pass on this deal, i will get you the info.

  6. Based on the build up that Glen and Maggie found each other in the tunnel ( burning the picture and all ) , I suspect something will happen to Maggie.

Terminus will be like Woodbury, but only with cannibals?

Rick will be happy since there is raised garden beds, and he can get back to being farmer rick like he was in the prision.

  7. It is all good KZ.

Not to jack your thread, but last sunday we adopted a 4 year old German Shepard from Ashtabula APL.

The wife and I thought it was time to share the love with another dog. We have 4 cats and the cocker and cats all got along fine

Monday morning we took him to the vet, clean bill of health except for kennel cough.

It took till Wednesday for the dog to eat. We figured that he was just getting used to his new home and the cough.

We have the cats seperated upstairs and the dog in the living room behind a baby gate.

We still kept the dog bed from the cocker, and the shepherd is currently sleeping on it. So, it is good to see that it is being used.

Our cockers ashes are on the shelf just above where new dog sleeps, kinda cool in a way.

This dog is smart, and already knows a handful of basic commands. He walks great on a leash, appears house broken, does not bark needlessly.

Yesterday, we tried to introduce the cats, one at a time, to the new dog. We have to practice this more.

The new dog appears more excited then "attacking" the cats, and of course the cats run away.

If we can at least get the cats and dog to leave each other alone, this will be great.

If they can not get along, or the cats do not accept the dog, then we will have to see what we will do.

I can wish and hope and correct behaviors, but the cats were first.

  8. The hard part is we love our pets, sometimes we are selfish in knowing when.

May 2013 we put down our cocker after 17 years.

In those final months, he had a hard time walking, was losing his eye sight ( bumpng into things) and could barely hear.

I would carry him outside, up the stairs and onto the couch.

What forced my desicion, the dog not eating or drinking in those final days.

This was not the dog I knew, and was unfair to him just exist / breathe.

That morning, it was a quiet ride there and an even more quiet ride home.

The vet asked if we wanted to be in the room. Well, no, but i did not want those last monments of him to be alone.

I just held him and that was that.

( I am crying as I type this, WTF is wrong with me)

  9. Looks great!

I was planning on researching and build one at the end of 2012, then the craziness started on AR parts and prices.

Not that I would know the difference, but you would be willing to share the parts list / brands?

IS this a range toy or was it built for like a 3-gun setup?

Looking to learn more on the AR platform.

  10. Prayers going out to you.

This group helped me through my struggles when my father passed.

I know what I went though with my loss, so I can only guess what you might be going through, plus the work / Business issues.

Nothing I can say will be witty or helpful, but if you ever want to talk or just hang out in silence, hit me up.

  11. I was tired of the snow and cold.

Last week I went to Key West florida for 4 days.

It did get a little cold there. It was in the low 80's during the day, and at night, like around 2 AM, it got down to 76 degrees. :)

  12. I think my ears were bleeding after about a mintue into the video.

I guess the "outrage" brings ratings. Who is Nancy's target demographic?

    100 rounds!! Oh my!!

It was around the 2:20 mark and she said something about this arsenal and along the lines of "and clearly he wants to shoot somebody again" ? Wait, what?

I am not going to watch the video again to get the exact quote.

As to for the arsenal, yeah, not really fitting for that desciption.

The text on the screen as the pictures were displayed said " hidden gun stash", to imply the gun were buried in the walls or something.

The another text said something like " police found loaded guns" in the house.

  13. Stopped in a Great Lakes Outdoors on 322 in Chesterland.

Bought 3 boxes of 9mm Blazer brass and clean supplies.

They have a bunch of 9mm.

On the way home, stopped into Walmart Macedonia, and got 3 boxes of Tula 9mm.

Planning on a range trip tonight.
