My first street bike was a 1972 Honda 500 I bought from my uncle around 1987. I sold it when i got married in 1993. After one summer without a bike, I missed riding. I had saved up 1K to spend on a bike. I ended up buying a 1982 Suzuki GS 850 L. I did not do too much research, but I had looked at lot of bikes around 1K in price, and they all needed engine or paint work. The 850 I bought had great paint and good chrome. I liked the fact this bike was bigger then my 72 honda and would be a good bike to ride 2 up with the wife. Then, 3 years ago, I added a 1990 Katana 600 to the fleet because I wanted a sport bike. My friend Perry works at a local motorcycle repair shop and told me one of his customers had this bike that was for sale. Since this Katana had a known good service history. I bought it. I know both bikes are old, but they are bought and paid for. The 1982 850 now has historical plates, so I will never need to allocate funds for plates on it.

Glad to hear you are recovering. Stay strong in PT and in your walk with God.Back in college, a friend of mine was riding his motorcycle was killed by a drunk driver. At that point, I know I failed my test of faith. I turned away from God and did not like who i had become during those 5 years after his accident. I wised up, and got my life back on track. People joke that things just seem to work out for me. I know that there is a greater power in control of life. Thanks for listening,
Scott

Nice pics of the trip! Any issues locating gas stations on some of those roads? What kind of range per tankful are you guys getting? I see there is a GPS unit, so probably not an issue finding gas stations? My sport bike only gets about 120 miles per tank full

I went to Valley View around 7:30. It was not as crowded as last week. I knew I would miss the 7 PM meet up at Mickey D's, so I just went to QS&L. I was able to park in the main lot since it was not crowded. I had my 1982 Suzuki GS 850, rocking the Rustorical plates.....er Historical plates.

My name is Scott and I live in Bedford, between Cleveland and Akron. I own a 1990 Katana 600 and a 1982 GS850 L. Lately I have been riding River Road through Hunting Valley. This is a sweet road, but not like the roads in southern Ohio.

I like that idea. I tried to plan a ride for that last year, but figured i could only see about 6 of them. There are few bunched together and the rest are spread out.
