  1. I can take a joke as much as the next guy, but the Harley bashing is starting to become a bit lame to say the least. I'm still looking forward to meeting some of you and getting some group rides in regardless of what type of bike you ride.
  2. I definitely will. I've been on this ride at different times of the year, and my favorite is after labor day, as there are less tourists in the area. Hope to try again in a couple weeks.

  3. I definitely will. It's a nice ride. I've done it at different times of the year, and my favorite is after labor day in the fall. Not quite as many tourists in the area. The place is open year round.

  4. Just found out about a family obligation I didn't plan for Sunday so I wont be able to go to Indian Lake (or elsewhere), this weekend. I'm still interested in getting together with people to ride, as originally posted in this thread. As shown in my bike info., I ride a Harley, but I'm willing to do rides with any type of bike. As for the equipment discussion, sometimes I wear a helmet, sometimes I don't. Alot of it depends on the type of ride I'm going on ie. a large group, the weather, highway or not, etc. Looking forward to riding with some of you in the future.
  5. Anyone interested in heading to the Tilton Hilton at Indian Lake? Possibly Sunday? The back way takes about an hour and a half, and we usually take 33 home (about and hour). Great burgers and sides for about 6 bucks. Very biker friendly. The place is a bit old school, in that it only takes cash, no bank/money cards.
  6. Anyone interested in forming a group to ride from the Northwest Columbus area? Looking mainly to ride on weekends. Nothing too formal at this point, but may want to put together a charity ride in the future.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like a great idea for a club.

This may be a dumb question, but why are you called the Proprietors?
  9. People are definitely going to stand next to their bikes to hold them up. Even on relatively calm days the ride over can be choppy.
  10. I spoke to one of the events representatives at the easy rider show, and he said he thought there were going to be special rates for bikes on the ferry boats. He also said that there would be extended hours of operation. (During Bike Week)
  11. I see from the back ground in your picture that you may live in the Dublin area. If you're interested in going on the ride, let me know. I live/work in Dublin, and some of us meet at my office, then ride down to Farrow's together.
  12. That's a great looking bike mz.
  13. Went to OBW last year. A pretty good time. The city of Sandusky did a good job of having plenty of places to park. Free concerts downtown. The crowd at the fair grounds was a bit hard core, but no problems. If they want more people to go to Put-In Bay they need to drop the ferry rate.
  14. The annual Horsepower for Horses Ride will take place this year May 8th. The ride benefits the Last Chance Coral in Athens, OH. This place finds abandoned, abused, etc. horses, nurses them back to health, then adopts them out. The ride leaves from AD Farrow's downtown, goes to the farm, where lunch is served. The ride is donation only. This is one of the few charities that you actually get to see where the money is going. You donate what you want, no set fee. On the return, we meet at a pub where there are some great prizes given away. I've been on this ride since the begining, and it's been fun every time. Check out Horsepowerforhorses.org.
  15. Went to the show last year for the first time. Saw some cool bikes. Last year they had a great display of vintage iron and cafe racers. No English manufacturers last year. A cool place to go afterward is Southeast Harley Davidson which is about 15 minutes away. They have some interesting bikes of their own to see ie. one of Elvis' bikes, and more. They also have an old diner located inside the dealership with great food.

I've heard some bad things about the event. ie. fighting, stabbings, etc., any of that take place?
  17. The event is called the Italian Gathering 2009. It runs from 10AM-4PM. Admission is free, but parking is $5. This info is according to the Discover Ohio web site. Wendy's International is just east of riverside drive in Dublin. On the left side of the road. It is west of Sawmill.
  18. I believe there's a car and bike show of Italian makes only this Sunday, September 6, at the Wendy's international headquarters in Dublin. I've heard it was pretty good last year.
  19. Recently joined. Went to meet and greet this past weekend, but did not meet or greet that many. Go figure. It was a nice turnout though. Great diversity of bikes and people. Looking forward to more events.
