  1. If you already bought 3 days call midohio and tell them you just bought 3,and you want one more,so you got the option to reschedule one day if need it.if you don't care about the reschedule option, you can buy another day later.to be eligible for the track day in October, you must purchase least 4 track days the entire season.if you have 7 + days ,you will participate in raffle, where you can win free next season .

  2. After two session we move riders to either faster,or slower group if need it.

Every session we start first 2laps easy to make sure everybody have tires warm up.

You will have plenty time to put your warmers on and go to class.

Stop at garage # 5 before tech,I help you thru the day.

  3. Getting ready to buy some gift certificates for myself.  Debating on buying four single day gift certificates or going with two single day gift cards and one two day gift cards.  Decisions, decisions, decisions....

If you buy 4 days, you can reschedule 1 day after the event.let say last minute you can't make it,or weather is bad you can reschedule for no extra fee.

  4. Few questions: first, gear. I have a leather jacket with a 360° zipper to attach to leather pants, is that good enough? I also assume street gloves and boots are acceptable? 2nd, I have a set of shinko ravens on my bandit 1200. They feel fine for me for the street but should I get something stickier? I want to trailer down the 18th and do the novice course. I can lock wire my bike, just need to know what needs it besides the oil drain and filler cap. T.i.a. for the info.

Get better tires,Dunlop Q2,Q3,Michelin power,or cup,Brigstone 03 R/S.i see last season few people go down on the Shinko crap.

  5. 211's or slicks?  size?

I have some 200 size rears in Dunlop take off and new Pirellis. Also have fronts to correspond.

    211's or slicks?  size?

One set 211 190/60,7 sets slicks 200 which is same demention as 190/60. UK 302 front, rear US medium.the slick new are $ 460,asking $ 100.im running same take offs.

Sunday I cherry pick in intermediate, got some new gear so want see how it feel + riding 3 days after long winter its going kick my bud.monday-Tuesday in experts.

  6. Thanks. I guess I would be better off waiting until I do a track day or two to get a better feel for where I may be at that time. I'm just concerned that weekend will sell out early.

You got until June ,nobody sign up that early in advance.

  7. Y

I plan on doing two or three track days prior to July 18th.  If I manage to get bumped up to intermediate by that time will it be a problem if I have already signed up as beginner?

if they have available spots in intermediate they let you change group.

Guys make sure your bikes are ready for tech,we been told not to pass any bike if is not correctly prep for the level rider sign up.make sure your brake pads are good.intermediate -advance level, oil drain plug, oil filter ,filler oil cap is safety wire,or silicone.tape your wheel weights,

Water wetter as coolent, make sure nothing is loose, last season so many riders show up and their rearsets ,bodywork, levers was loose .

    Forks don't leak.

I tech one day 5 guys on street bikes who sign up for intermediate ,they only tape headlights and tail light, they have no idea what I'm talking about when I ask why they don't do the other stuff I mention above.they were not happy because i send them back to get their bikes prep and they going miss first session.so be ready,no exceptions.

Anyone else going on the 18th?

Not sure on the 18th, depends how me and the bike feel, since I race 4 days a row that week.

But I will be there most of the days.

  10. I'm trying to decide on the first track day to sign up for.  What is the weather generally like in that area around the middle of April?  The way things are going right now I'm thinking there could be a foot or two of snow.

Best bet ,check weather couple weeks before you want go ,and call or check midohio website for availability .if is nice first 2 days will be sold out, everybody want ride after long winter.after that ,Monday's are more busy then Tuesdays.if you never ride at track don't sign up for twilight,it's for experience intermediate and advance riders only.if you not in pace we can send you home without refund.

  11. Thank you.

Next question, is there usually someone there to set up suspension? If so have a guesstimate on price? The previous owner of my bike wasn't nearly as fat as me so it will need some changes made.

Yes we have MJC Motorsport Crew assist at every track day.i think they charge $ 40 for suspension setup.
  12. Is Mid-Ohio pretty beginner friendly?  I plan on doing some track days there this year and I don't really know what to expect.  From the sounds of it I will stay busy.  I'm assuming I'll just have time to ride, park the bike and put tire warmers on, then go to a class room, then do the same thing over and over again.  Is that about right?

7x20 minutes sessions.if you plan ride in novice you have class after every session, where we explain what you going work on the next session.riders are brake to groups depends on experience.after the class you have 20 minutes to rest before you go back ride.from 12pm- 1pm is free lunch.last 3 sessions we let you go on your own, there is still instructors on track to see if anybody need help .passing is allowed only on straights.
