    ^ Yup. VW is releasing a "value line" TDI Jetta for only 21K brand new. You simply cannot beat a TDI as a daily driver.. Especially with the miles you drive..

    GF Just picked up a '14 Jetta TDI to replace her '11 Jetta TDI. '14 gets nice independent suspension, better interior materials, oh and VW Car-Net. Like on-star. She can status/lock/unlock/check fuel/find where it's parked from anywhere from her phone. Pretty slick.

    For the task of getting A to B cheaply, you can't beat a TDI. my '13 Passat is going strong, 17K miles already and has never missed a beat.
