Hmm, we may need to talk more about a 20 year vet who's a PMI and has 8 years corporate sales experience. I'm certified to open a range from scratch based on the caliber being shot there(.50 cal and down). Have I done it? Nope. Just saying.

I'm not all that informed on computer stuff. But, I use a USB in my RX7. I tried the same thing and basically was to that I would be limited to thumb drive size divices due to the head unit only being able to process so much. Is that saying there's a processor in the head unit? I don't know. I do know I use a 12gig and it's a ton of music still but not the 110 gigs I have. It's not the fix for you, but it's kind of a FYI.

Alarm of course. But, and I just bought one, how about a car cover. I just bought a custome car cover for a couple hundred bucks. Along the bottom is a cabel with a lock. Sure, you can cut the material the cover is made out of. Sure, you can cut the lock or cabel. But in doing so, now you have all this fabric to mess with and slow you down. Then you have to get past my car alarm. Set of the alarm and have a car cover sitting on the ground looks odd and should raise questions and is a pretty big frustration to a car theif. Harder to ID the car to see if they want it. And over all, if they want it, they will find a way to take it, as stated. A remote fuel pump kill switch is also a good easy option.
