A3 upper complete with 20in barrel Standard A2 stock/buffer kit Daniel Defense Lower Parts kit Sights/Glass to be determined later Should run ~800 after shipping plus the cost of lower. Not as inexpensive, but a rifle that you can stake your life on without any bells and whistles.

I signed over 18 years ago and have been teaching this weapon at least 15 years of that. I guess what I should have added to this is the reliability factor. It had slipped my mind that with a lower cost may come less quality in the parts made. I would assume that given what it's made for, the quality should be a right up there in a good way. However, being that it's on the civilian side, that's whay I'm asking these things to those of you who may have experianced lower quality parts. The info given thus far is very helpful. Here's what I'm looking for: Pretty basic, almost standard issue A3 M-16 set up. I would like to keep it under $900. However, I could have sworn I have seen these for less. Iron sights are a must, doesn't have to have a rail, doesn't have to have a adjustable stock. If it does have these items, that's fine too. Does not have to be new, but does need to be very well cared for. I've been told that piecing one together is the best deal for the $. I don't follow names and makes on the civilians side. So this thread is to save me the time and to get some opinions on building one. Once I have everything, I know what to do with it. I just have not kept up with what can be bought and who makes what. This I know. Just called MicroSoft. They have nothing of a bundle yet, and are hearing nothing about one. Though, it is assumed that there will be one. With the Kinect release being 11/4, and the new COD coming out 11/9, MicroSoft will be pretty busy and getting the online play for COD and the Kinect up and running in a week of each othere, I can only hope they don't have a failure. So, with this said/thought. I will be off loading my Elite. I will roll the dice on the COD bundle being at least close to as cool as the Halo Reach bundle out now. Hoping they go flat black, Black Ops would do it well. Some have not agreed with my thoughts to trade in the Elite for the Slim. However, I have 2 360's, so my out of pocket Vs. what I want, is why I'm looking at things this way. 6 weeks and we shall see.

With the new Halo Reach released, there is a 360 slim Special Halo edition Package. It's silver, comes with 2 silver controlers, blah blah blah. What I'm trying to find out, and I'm sure they will do, is a Special edition for COD Black Ops 360 slim going to come out? However, I can't seem to find any info on it. I know there are some keyboard Ninja's on here with some search skills. Can anyone find if they are going to release a COD Black Ops, special edition Slim package? If so, please link your findings. Thanks Jesse. Yup, Jay Peak is by far, my favorite place when I catch it on a good day. Jesse saw a good day. Sometimes the weather is so brutal up there, it's not fun. Winds can be so bad that the whole mountain is a sheet of ice. But they got like 140" of snow by New Years last year, I think. They get dumped on HUGE. And lift tickets are only $45 all day. Great deal for a huge mountain. Make sure you have snow tires before going up there though. Howie, on here, went with me last year in his 4x4 Tacoma and said it was the most challanging snow drive he had ever had to get up the mountain. In his defence, he litteraly had to weave in and out of cars spinning and sliding and not making it up the hill. LOL

It depends on you. I had the 3G 8GIG and had 3 pages of apps and about 200 songs on it. I had no issues and 8GIGs was pleanty. Some apps take up more room, so that's where it depends on you.

Last picture, off to the far right outside the picture, is Smugglers Notch Pass. Hopefully you got the chance to drive it. There are more twists and turns with elevation than I have seen on any other mountain road I have been on. At one point, you have to drive under a huge bolder hanging over the road. Very cool place for camping and tons of trails for hiking. Pics look great. I grew up in Vermont and will be back there in a few months once the snow hits. Thanks for sharing. Care to post more about what you did while up there and places you visited?

Doesn't seem all that bad. At least you have hair. Not sure what to tell you on your knee issues. I've only driven a couple mini vans, and they were great. I don't have kids, so I'm sure your reasons will differ from yours. I say go sky diving, or something exilerating. Shock tretment yourself. Do something to make you feel ALIVE. Spend some AEWSOME time with the kids, Ceder Point or something. Make it a day that wears you the fuck out. And then before you crash for the day, a glass of wine or a beer with the wife and some private festivities for the two of you. The next day, you'll be dead, or feel like a 22 year old. Good luck. Why be bothered by turning 35, or 45 even? Are there things you can't do that you use to? If so, what? Is 35 old? I don't know you, so I'm not trying to insult you. Just wondering what this issue is.
