    Hey Crackhead!

    Well written. That's some bullshit.
  2. Cool, great idea, outdoors, I like your style...but where did you pop the question?
  3. Damn! the WHOLE race?!? instead of the speedtv - go to commercial just as the pass happens for the win, on the last lap, then come back to see the tail end of it, and hear the bumbling fool of a U.S. announcer lead in over the uk feed, just as they're discussing how epic it was, and how we'll never see anything like that ever again in motosport - version? God I love U.S. race coverage.
  4. Just think of the Duc in the garage....that'll make it all better.
  5. Speaking of dubstep.... http://youtu.be/5Kod1q39ddE
  6. totally forgot how awesome that race start from Marquez was. Amazing...in the matter of a few corners he passed like 3/4 of the field (even more impressive as that was in Moto2)
  7. I've "considered" it every year for the last 5 or so. Ultimately I'm too cheap, and am concerned about the level of tempt to watch live QP and FP sessions during the workday
  8. Dovi was impressively quick today, on a hard front nonetheless...getting pumped!
  9. Comment was meant to spark discussion, kid is obviously talented...but how about Estoril 2006 - That kind of sucked
  10. Do you think Marquez is going to be the second coming of Rossi? Is Rossi going to be the second coming of Rossi? Is Pedrosa still going to suck? Are all the Americans going to be on crappy machinery (comparitively speaking of course) again? Discuss... I just can't freaking wait for the races to start again. I just hope there's some closer, more intense racing this year and some swaps for who's visiting the podium from time to time. Would love to see Nicky on the top step again before he's out of the series.
  11. Awesome. Those 2 (mustang and bike) are begging for some mid summer photo shoots together....maybe chick in blue bikini too....???
  12. good point, however - the bike was a long drawn out negotiation with the wife. (I'm now remodeling the kitchen as part of that negotiation - you know, happy wife, happy life.) And ultimately the bike is something I'm willing to pay more for. Something like a stand doesn't really degrade and if someone's looking to offload for cheap, why not save some bucks?
  13. Was a franchisee in a previous life. Quick service food in Columbus. Owned it 3 yrs, sold it. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask away. Definitely expect long hours - but if it's a dream of yours to do it, you can definitely stomach that part of it. I did 110+/week for about the first year of that 3. A couple quick tips: if you're envisioning a high % of takeout, don't budget much more than a couple tables. Rent can be one of your highest fixed costs (if you're planning on a nice space), and it doesn't make sense to pay for empty sq. footage. In retrospect my restaurant would've been about 1/3 of what it was. Food cost can kill you. Restaurants 9 times out of 10 are very low margin, and depend upon volume for profitability. Since it sounds like you're planning on starting your own, choose your menu items with margin in mind, and live portion control. (Not only for costs, but consistency as well for your customers) Don't overstaff. It breeds laziness from staff there, kills your already small margin, and also can sometimes cause confusion with customers as well - you've seen it, just walk in a recently opened chain, it's like a bunch of monkeys fucking a football. As an owner, don't expect your employees to do anything that you won't also do. Don't force them to always clean the shitter at the end of the night just because they're your employees, do it yourself sometimes - they'll trust you more for it. Single best piece of advice. Tip Jar. (Applies to quick service) It's for the employees. You NEVER touch it. (Except to divvy it up evenly, month ending or the like). Make it known however that if the register is short by $x's...maybe anything north of $5-10 it will be corrected from the collective tip jar fund. Your benefits - 1. always correct register. 2. incentivized employees to provide good service. 3. Employees will self regulate. We had ppl telling us about a theft prob because it was killing what they were going to get at the end of the month in tips. I could probably go on for hours with what I learned in 3 years. Feel free to shoot me any questions in a PM and I'll do my best to respond. And, best of luck to you. It's hard work, but can def end up being a rewarding thing to click on that open sign for the first time.
  14. Just in case someone has one. Otherwise I'm going to pony up the undesired sum of money for a new one. Thanks!
  15. PM sent. I need a stand to go along with my new (to me) ducati! Thanks.
  16. He's trying to match his smokin' wife.
  17. Welcome! Do you ride yours like this guy? He's got some nuts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nrMQ3QwyPo
  18. This is a friends bike. The description in the ad is accurate. I actually took the test ride on this one before he bought it. Needs a little tlc - but otherwise a solid bike, and could turn out to be a really sweet cafe project. http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/3678421106.html
  19. Got out for about an hour, the first 10 minutes of which I had an Leo right on my ass...apparently red bikes attract some attention.

    OSU vs UK

I went to OSU, wouldn't change a thing about my schooling...some ppl bitch that OSU is so impersonal and that with such a big school you can't really get a feel for anything, but it's only as big as you make it. At either school - get involved with some program, club, group - anything that has to do with your interests (shit, there's probably an OSU motorcycling club for all I know). You'd be amazed at how personal it feels once you find a big group of niche friends that you can pal around with. I'm sure either school has it's benefits - I'm sure KY's roads are better than CBUS. Columbus is about 40 mins from anything that's really fun (think southeast) OSU's "distractions", just being in such close proximity to such a large city are probably greater, but that's not really any reason to choose a school. As far as the ladies go...I'm sure you'll find a way to crush plenty of ladies hearts where-ever you are. Most men find a way to do that As far as degree goes, unless you're upper end ivy league (Harvard, Yale, Stanford, etc)- or dealing with a hiring manager that has some sick/twisted infatuation with a particular school - it doesn't matter where you get your slip of paper. Professional degree from major institution = box checked for the applicant. Long story short, follow your heart. You're going to be spending what feels like a ridiculous amount of time at said university, and what IS a ridiculous amount of money there. Feel good about whatever decision you make, and don't look back. Anyway, that's my $.02.
  21. Badass! Now I just want a followup to find out if she goes to the pub with him.

Great beer. Had a Maß of it in Oktoberfest in Munich 2004.
  23. How American Income Inequality Hit Levels Not Seen Since The Depression Cool video, I always find it interesting the parallel's between now and the times just prior to the depression. Kind of freaks me out a little if I have to say so - especially having little ones I need to provide for.
