  1. Sorry to hear of the loss of a fellow rider, but I wouldn't say he was "killed"...I'd say he had a fatal accident.
  2. Lol...I don't eat that crap! When he and I worked together, we met over at Applebee's for dinner, I had a $20 steak...he had a salad. To each his own. I don't judge... Also, for the record, I don't make $100 unless I'm riding in a taxi...I just used that as an example of the way we get payed at times.
  3. Keep in mind guys, our "meal allowance" is union negotiated...and has nothing to do with the amount of money anyone else gets for Per Diem. We're actually lucky we get anything at all! I look at it like this...little things like being payed the same when I'm riding in a taxi as when I'm working a train...makes up for the little money I make to pay for food. Nothing like $100 an hour while sleeping in a taxi while deadheading home from Garrett Indiana/Toledo Ohio/Cincinnati Ohio/Indianapolis Indiana(while working out of Marysville). Last year as a whole, I only stayed in a hotel 21 times...but I deadhead 89 times. That's $420 for meals while in the hotel versus $28,569 for riding in a taxi(based on a trip rate pay of $321 out of Marysville Ohio). And Josh...you only get $12. I'm the one that get's $20, lol!!
  4. Just don't heat the can of soup on the sidewall heater...there is a specific rule against that! PS: There is a certain engineer that pees in those coffee pots...or so I've been told...so I hope you washed it first...

  6. Silica level was zero...and you're full of shit. Cleanliness of the airbox is a huge indication of how well the filter is working.
  7. And before the K&N haters come along...I've got proof on how well they perform. Top and bottom pictures, plus pictures of the airbox directly after I took the filter out to clean it. It was installed new in my previous DL1000 V-Strom right before a 3000 mile ride to Maine and back. Lot's of dirt and gravel roads, lots of rain...just about everything you could think of! Top: Bottom: Inside of airbox directly after removing: It cleaned up like new, and payed for itself after the one cleaning. Free bump for a fabulous filter!
  8. Damn, John...you weren't joking when you said you had a project going on!! No way could I keep all that straight! Someday when we're both off, I'll have to come check it out. Good working with you too the other day. Best new guy(less than a year) I've ever worked with!
  9. Just wait son...you're time is coming. It's not an if...it's when. 11 years = 4 cars and two people. 4 dead total. Those that didn't die knew they'd been hit by a train. They win some, we win some, by we take all ties.
  10. I've been eyeing the Duc too...or maybe a KTM 990 Adventure R. One of the two will be my next bike. I saw the Duc up close last year...it looked and sounded impressive!!
  11. Did I click on Columbus Racing instead of Ohio Riders?
  12. jagr, ask away. I've had 3. A 2008 STi, a 2003 WRX, and now a 2007 STi. I also DD a 1998 Impreza L. I'll never not own a Subaru.
  13. Nice Subaru emblem on a motorcycle forum, fag!! Welcome to OR!! BTD.
  14. Hey Jester, CSX Locomotive Engineer here. Little late, but welcome to the Forum. Do you work out of Parsons? I'm mainly Marysville and the Van Yard.
  15. I've had work done at Wheel Medic on two previous occasions, yes. I'll give them a call Monday unless someone else comes up with a "hook up".
  16. Thanks, jagr. Looks like he does awesome work, but driving to Sandusky and back twice is cost prohibitive...as would be shipping. If I was getting my Volk wheels from my STi redone, I wouldn't hesitate, but not for these.
  17. I searched, but the most recent discussion was over a year and a half old. I recently picked up a super clean 1998 Subaru Impreza L for my daily driver, it's got zero rust...and only has 80k miles. Runs like a top!! The one sore spot is the wheels, or lack of them I should say. Factory steel wheels and hubcaps FTL. I have a friend who owed me a favor...so to pay it back, he gave me a set of 2002/2003 16" WRX wheels. I checked them all to make sure they were straight and true, only one has curb rash, but the finish looks "old". Normally, I wouldn't spend the money to powdercoat these particular wheels, but seeing that I have $0 in them...I can justify it, and it'll make the car look even nicer. So...where to go? Thanks, BTD.
  18. Sorry...just read the whole thread and saw this has already been discussed. Disregard.
  19. This quote got me thinking...and no way am I assuming you'd do what I'm about to say, I'm merely using your comment as an example... What if this happened, what if you had a CCL, what if your video tape was on that showed him coming towards you with a pipe, and what if you shot and killed him? Where does the law stand on that?
