  3. have you been on 821 lately its not bad but was getting pretty rough going up toward macksburg, co rd 8 is pretty nice if you watch for gravel in a few spots. There is a nice co rd out of beverly if you turn toward the waterford high school it turns by the railroad tracks and takes you back to marietta.
  4. well i think i'm going to louisville to check out an rsv next weekend if it hasn't sold yet, it has a couple cracks in the fairing but doesn't look to bad in the pics
  5. i've always wanted a duc but didn't wanna deal with the maintence, she used to have a 250 ninja, she rode it for about 2 years but now is on some medication and doesn't wanna be on just 2 wheels
  6. some one told me before that insurance is lower on them cause they have less claims, since there are less of them runnin around. now my wife is saying i can keep the fz6, and get a used ducati if she can have a spyder. cause i was planning on trading in my fz6 on an aprilia
  7. my biggest part for the shiver was staying under 1000cc because of insurance. Now all that is on hold i think they are shutting down where i work at.
  8. Well the wife wants me to get the tuono, so i don't know yet. i tried the Aprilia forum but couldn't get it to work (i hate living in the middle of no-where and have to use dial-up)
  9. Hit me up when you wanna ride I'm getting ready to move to wellston about 30miles the otherside of athens off of 32. Hit me with a pm or something
  10. I know there are a few around here, I'm thinking of getting a Shiver 750. What is the Aprilia maintnace schedule like? That so far is whats kept me from buying a Ducati Monster (i like the naked have faired bikes). Has anyone riden a Shiver? If I get one it will probly be the one sittin up at IP thanx
  11. i just got the idea since i'll have no cost in the bike its self and usually go donw there a couple times a year. i was going to do the plastics my self just fiberglass over the headlight opening and stuff like that, i'd just hate to have it just sitting. i know that WERA used to have a 250 class but don't know if they still do
  12. i have a 78, the only difference in the motors is the black motors in 77 and 78 (i think) had slightly higher compression and slightly different cams (ie. the cb750f supersport) which is the model i have, but correct me if im wrong
  13. i've been thinking about this one but looking for one with hardbags
  14. i've been thinking of building a track bike but was wondering if anyone was running the 250, i just thought it would be a way to get started cheap. any ideas? the only cost i would have in the bike would be to trailer it back from down south it was my wifes, then she gave it to her brother to learn on, and now he just bought another bike.
  15. i know when you exit the survey it takes you to the Motorcyclist Advisory Council so i figured its worth a try
  16. link to 2010 Federal survey http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/TWBTTY8 i just finished mine
  17. i think i might give the 2x4 trick a try if nothing else i'll have the wheel off so i can take it somewhere if it doesn't work
  18. i've thought about that when i worked for auto shops i'd change my tires myself, but not sure how to break the bead loose
  19. only have the cash for the rear right now, but pony is the cheapest i can find for the ones i've been running (shinko 009) i get good mileage (about 7500 miles out of the rear and have 11000 on the front still have tread but starting to scallop on the outsides) with them and no problems with grip
  20. i was going to buy my tire from ironpony, i'm about an hour south of there. i was going to try and do it all in one day if i can hook up with someone to do it. i know there is a few ppl up there that can mount and balance but couldn't remember who
  21. has anyone taken there rim to ironpony to get the tire changed? just wondering how much it was they don't have that listed on there site. who else can do tire changes in the area at a decent price?
