  1. Sure, I will part with these now for $700. The price may change once I get my new speakers. They are mint condition from a non-smoking home, and sound absolutely amazing. I have the original box, manual, fuses/resistors that came with them. For those that don't know about Magnepan MG12s, they may not be adequately powered by some receivers; they require a 4-ohm capable power source. Sorry, for your loss. There are a lot of headphones to consider these days. You might want to check out the HD598 ($250) to get close for half the price. But in the end, there is nothing quite like the HD650s, that I've heard. I would recommend the AKG K702s, but you'll have to spend twice as much money on a high quality headphone amplifier, high resolution source, and good interconnects, to get results similar to the HD650 from a normal source. And even then the sound is really subjective. Some people have preferred the HD650 to the HD800, so it comes down to what kind of sound you're looking for. The AKG K702s have a somewhat Magnepan like sound when properly powered.
  2. Remember they haven't been broke in yet (probably at about 95% of their potential clarity), so you may have to "try them out" for 50+ hours before they unveil their true potential. http://hd650.net/ Enjoy.
  3. These have just been shipped. Thanks again jbot! By the way, I may have some more audio gear for sale in the future. Looking to upgrade my Magnepans and maybe cd player. I have some white, with black rails, MG12s with the box, and a Music Hall CD25 (with significant modifications), the HDCD version.
  4. The lifespan of the liquid cooling system is around 50,000 hours, which is approximately 5.7 years of constant on. I'd just expect to replace it in 6 years due to technological advances anyway. We'll probably be running quad octocores with 100 GB of Ram and 20TB hard drives by then anyhow.
  5. Not to be nosy, but how did you break your nose? :-)
  6. Take him to a drive-in movie with strippers and alcohol?
  7. Good luck with your search. Here's something you may be interested in, from one the site sponsors, a 1990 Suzuki VS1400. http://www.390bike.com/pre_owned_detail.asp?sid=04335901X5K9K2011J3I05I35JPMQ4968R0&veh=2022008
  8. I noticed that they have a CX500 Turbo. That'd be great for the fuel-conscious/performance minded person.
  9. Now, we need to invite the womens forum to this thread to comment on how much they love scars!
  10. Where do people find all these talking animals?! I noticed that you posted newer videos, so it's a half repost. http://www.ohioriders.net/showthread.php?t=70374
  11. The 1125R is a great bike, and that's what I recommend.
  12. That $50/cancellation fee would be awesome for dates that don't show, without a prior 48-hour notice. The whole my sister's baby is sick and she has to work excuse isn't enough anymore.
  13. Now playing at strip clubs near you. There's one thing that bothers me about their vids is that there's always someone wearing those Beats by Dre headphones. They really need to look into something better like the Sennheiser HD800, AKG Q701, or Stax Omega IIs, which all look better.
  14. SV1000S sure are nice; I had the 2005 SV1000S. They need to re-release it for a few years.
  15. Yeah, so for the 9th time (very catlike) Osama Bin Laden is dead, and conveniently right around re-election time. http://www.corbettreport.com/osama-bin-laden-pronounced-dead-for-the-ninth-time/
  16. The government is using weather modification to keep people from rioting outside over the gas prices and such. ;-)
