Welcome!
Reading through this thread brought back great memories of when me and a bunch of buddies first got bikes... We learned together and had a blast the first season, actually that was some of the funnest times we had together. As seasons went on we started to ride with other people and soon some of the guys were involved with other things... Ego's came out, guys got in trouble, and the guys I was close to that first year parted ways. Anyways again enjoy your first bike and all that comes with it!

I have even been rolling the last three months on expired tags.
The BMV is going to add an additional $20 for that!

The new teknic chicane is super nice, tons of airflow, but they are $379 new
I could get you close to the $250 mark though
I've never worn a Teknic but that looks good!

Wow... Good for him! I know a guy in his 60's who is an instructor. Rick Mannet is his name, great guy!

8 over is my max depending on surroundings. But from my experiences its odd to see a bike pulled over. Years back I was told by a Leo friend that police radar has a harder time picking up on a motorcycle, but in the past year or so I have been seeing more and more bikes getting special attention (pulled over) from Leo's.
A cop I know in Detroit says 8 your fine 9 your mine...

None. No reason to Turbo a 600. Get a bigger bike.thats why they make 1000, 1300, and 1400cc bikes.... they have a chassis to fit the power and the transmission is made to handle the power. you have no risk of blowing a motor and its cheaper to buy a 1000 than to put a turbo on a 600. there are no advantages to a turbo 600.

In my eyes it means stay away... Actually the fact that he wants a stunt bike tells me to stay away. He more than likely has been beating the tar out of that zxGoing to look at this tomorrowhttp://cincinnati.craigslist.org/mcy/2902757620.html
I was thinking offering him $2300 sound good? And the kilometer thing what's up with that?
Be sure to check the fork seals, head bearings, and how bent the frame and forks might be from the stunting!! :nono:this

If I were you' date=' I wouldn't buy any of those. You aren't thinking about comfort, are you?
Mike's SpeedTriple is a great sport bike, and all day comfort can be had.
A ZRX is a great sport bike, with tons of power, cheap to buy and cozy to ride.

This FZ1 is a little above your budget, but money talks...
+1 on this... These are all practical street bikes.

I'm listing this for a friend. He just paid it off Monday and is waiting on the title. Anything else you can call him or ask me (I'll do my best to answer).

I would not have stayed at that dealership... If some moron waists 5 minutes of my time, I quietly walk away and they do not get my $$$... Yes I get the fact its right next door but in this day and age poor customer service does not deserve my money. I will go to the next guy even if they have to order it.

Like I said this is for a functional wheelie not a stunters wheelie. So yeah, best used on the trail or to traverse a pot hole, rut or something in the road.
lol, nice!
-
Quad- I.don't condone this guys riding on the road, but you get the idea
Holding a 2 stroke wheelie up is tuff! I'd loop it for sure.
So a guy walks up to me while I'm getting on my bike...

^ I know what you mean about getting asked questions. Funny thing was when I had my 05 Speed Triple I was always getting asked about it. "What is that thing"? "Looks like a bike outta Mad Max". I never minded talking to people, I remember when I was a teenager and would ask guys questions on bikes.
