I think Honda screwed themselves big time with the new VT1300 line. I like those bikes...quite a lot actually, but I will be shocked if they have the same sales numbers as the old VTX line had. They have drifted away from the traditional cruiser, which is a huge seller here. They sold a TON of bikes with the VTX and VT1100 styling due to their classic looks and Honda reliability. People that want a traditional cruiser will now vertainly be looking more at HD's, Vulcans, Boulevards...etc.

Take this for what its worth. Didnt Honda get Sued over the Shadow Ace 1100 by HD? They said it looked and sounded too much like an HD.

never had one, I was curious when the EXO1000 came out how well it would work.

Triple is the way to go if its a street machine. The GSXR will just fuel an ego. My Triple was the best all around bike I've ever owned.

I typically watch the races due to my customers at work like to talk about anything race related. Usually I'm board but wow that was an entertaining race. The fire was just an all time epic fail!

If everything checks out go for it! The only issue that sticks in my mind that hasnt been stated are the spark plugs. If they arent pulled out ever so often they seize up and break off in the head. I had an 05 Speed Triple and out of all the bikes I've owned that bike was the best well rounded bike. It did everything well! I would get looks all the time and people would always stop to ask me questions. Damn I miss that bike.

I love the Victory Vegas 8 ball at the same time the HD Nightrod I have much lust for. Funny thing is about the Nightrod most of the HD guys I know dont like the Nightrod/Vrod. They will make snide comments and claim its not a true HD since its so modern compared to the rest of the lineup . Whatever, evolution is good! I like both companies and those are the top 2 from each that I would want! It would more than likely boil down to what I could get the better deal on...

I use my local credit union and am very happy. No fee's, good interest rates, they hold vehicle titles at the branch so no waiting if you want to sell something.

Damn that sounds good! In his defense the 25 mpg zone he was speeding in looked to be an industrial area. As far as the shorts go, wow that had to be cold!

although its not ideal, letting a brand new battery sit a month isnt really a problem. Bought my 600RR a month ago with a decently new battery and it fired right up last night. The other option is just take it out and put it inside to get it out of the cold

I think the bike is cool. Very unique coming from Honda. The price is decent, and the power is fine for what the bike's intended for.
