  1. Showing up, maybe hungover, maybe not.
  2. Might see some cars you know...
  3. Bad shit can happen at high RPMs kids....
  4. I have one, but you have to buy the whole car to get it How soon do you need it by? I MIGHT be starting my project this winter.
  5. I love it when fucking stupid kids get what is coming to them http://www.break.com/index/sheep-gets-revenge-2164055

  9. Do you know how many cars I saw at drag week to 10.50 or quicker with an overdrive? Not all of them even had the gearvenders unit.... It is all about the combo you put together and SETUP SETUP SETUP. I have raced RC cars for years and used to beat people that had a faster motor, because I had my stuff setup right and tight. ANYWAY now that I KNOW what I will use, I hope others can get some ideas from this thread on where to go with a build.

    ever...

Yes 86 Montie Carlo and an 84 Malibu. If I knew then what I knew now...
  11. What kind of beatdick bullshit is going on in here?
  12. Well this thread is actually helping me out, and I hope it helps others. Based on what people have posted and what I have read I am going to go with an OD trans for now. I did see where Speed Inc sells everything you need to swap a TH350 or 400 in an Fbody. Looking at that price when it is all said and done, I will have the exact same amount of money (if not more) in that set up vs an OD trans. Steve, if you want to shoot me a number on your setup I might actually know someone who wants it.
  13. This is what I have been thinking about. Anthony and Scott both have a vaild point, it depends what route I go. After looking at everything on LS1 Tech, I am starting to see more of a path for this project. IF the car is going to see less street use and more track it will get the TH400 with a brake. I need something that can still be driven on the street, and I can get around a softer launch with a few other tricks
  14. It was not funny the first time, it is not funny now...
  15. KY turbo kit, cam, and I think it has some suspension done.

  17. After I posted that and I thought about the cost you are right, it might start to add up and be a push for cost. The biggest cost will be for teh converter, because I already have access to a TH350 or TH400 for free. I might see if there is a thread on ls1tech that gives the cost breakdown for a swap.
  18. If I go this route, I will need to do more research. It will be a manual valve body transmission and will also have a transbrake in it. My reasoning for going this route would be planning ahead. I would rather do the conversion now that way when I really throw some power at the car it will be ready. The K-Y turbo car went 10.29 with one fo their kits, a cam, and some weight reduction. I would like to find out more about the combo they are running because that bitch was almost dragin pumper
  19. I asked if he was looking and he said he was not.
  20. Well I might be making a few chagnes to my plans with the car. It might might become a little less street friendly to get what I need. Your choices for a build are fast, reliable, or cheap. Unless you have a ton of funds you only get to pick 2 of the three. I might end up going to a non-overdrive transmission for now to save.
  21. After doing some more research on LS1tech I have started the process of collecting parts. This combo will either go in my car, or something else. I think based on my research I am going to go the boosted way, it will be a little easier to reach my goal this way. I might also have to do this in stages to due funding. My plans are not to fund this all on credit cards, and to do it right.
