  1. I'm sure I will, I just can't look away from the hard evidence that was provided by people who shoot both. That's the issue, these tracks are lit like a dark alley and the subjects are moving so quick its hard to get a lot of keeper shots that don't suck.
  2. Well Craig, you have several options here: 1. Talk to them in a very nice way about it, even if they get shitty just be the better person. 2. Be passive aggressive by putting something in the disputed territory to show your not happy. 3. My personal favorite option, wreck shop and show them what happens when you fight a stranger in the alps.....
  3. The way it was explained to me is that going full frame will help more with keeper shots, low light, and image quality for what I shoot. One of the Facebook groups I'm in has pretty much all the best drag racing and motor sports photogs in the world contributing, including Mark Rebilas (http://www.rebilasphoto.com) and pretty much all of those guys shoot full frame. I posed the question of the my 70D vs the 6D vs the 5DmIII for action shots and pretty much everyone said the 70D is fine, but going to the 5D is the way to go. There was even a guy who purchased a 6d, tried it with drag racing, and was let down by it , it is now used for his landscape, nature, and still life stuff. After reading up on it a bit more it seems the 5D is going to be a better (but more expensive) fit for what I do. I just landed a deal to start doing some video work for an pretty big LSX aftermarket company so I will need the 5D's video tools like the external headphone jack and HDMI out. Going to probably go with this package since it has the lens I want and the other audio gear: http://www.adorama.com/ICA5DM3K1E.html?adver=new&
  4. Yeah, nitrous is going to be dead in Radial vs The World now that the screw blowers are being run by people who know what they are doing.
  5. I honestly don't know, it has to be some way to work the rules. Berry has some very smart people who help him so there has to be a reason. He needs all the help he can get considering he is almost 20 mph slower than some of the big block guys. I like Keith, he is one funny guy and always says thank you to us media guys.
  6. Thanks. I spent today writing a feature on this little guy right here that will run this month. http://waggz.smugmug.com/Cars/2014-NMCA-World-Finals/i-JPKcf6n/0/L/_MG_5234-L.jpg
  7. You are seeing what happens when someone is in the final round of one of the biggest races of the year, puts the "hold my beer, watch this" tune up in the car and goes for the win. Its a nitrous backfire from trying to put to big of pills in it with not enough fuel more than likely. It just spits a whole bunch off fire out and scares the hell out of everyone. If they really over do it the hoodscoop and sometimes the intake get blown into low orbit.
  8. So I need to build a cloud server or some other type of storage device to keep my photos and videos on. I have no idea where to begin with this or if there is something out there already. I have external hard drives now, I'm just worried about those failing and want to build something that is stable and backed up. Any ideas or suggestions? I need it to be stable and reliable more than anything. Being able to expand it would be great too. I have a desktop that Orion built for me, I just don't remember if I can stick more HDs in it. TlDr; I need to store lots of photos and videos in a stable and reliable way, tell me what I need.
  9. Well I've got all of my action shots edited, now I have to edit all the feature car pictures... http://waggz.smugmug.com/Cars/Lights-Out-6/i-QPvHT6q/0/L/_MG_0286-L.jpg http://waggz.smugmug.com/Cars/Lights-Out-6/i-CX96mkq/0/L/_MG_7129-L.jpg http://waggz.smugmug.com/Cars/Lights-Out-6/i-ST3ChK2/0/L/_MG_7200-L.jpg http://waggz.smugmug.com/Cars/Lights-Out-6/i-vDnWNNx/0/L/_MG_7336-L.jpg http://waggz.smugmug.com/Cars/Lights-Out-6/i-mptkxvg/0/L/_MG_8033-L.jpg http://waggz.smugmug.com/Cars/Lights-Out-6/i-LW7wF47/0/L/_MG_8111-L.jpg http://waggz.smugmug.com/Cars/Lights-Out-6/i-KGCLSZB/0/L/_MG_9353-L.jpg http://waggz.smugmug.com/Cars/Lights-Out-6/i-hGpnRBK/0/L/brian%20sunday%20pictures-2-L.jpg Full Gallery:
  10. You think Obama cares about how the process is supposed to work? He might just try to draft an executive order to find a way around it :dumb:
  11. They are out there, trust me. Jessie Couter runs a single 76mm on his car and has been 7.90s in LSX Real Street trim

    Wagon build

I'm a wagon slut and this car touches me in all the right places.
  13. Let me know when you want to do lunch.
  14. Well I did some quick research and the big issue with the 6d is the auto focus. I need something that will do good action shots in lower light. The 6D with its 11 points vs the 5D and its 61 is a big difference. I'm going to dig some more tonight and see if I can find some videos that compare the 2 when it comes to action shots. The one video I did watch at work suggested the 5D is better for that. The big thing I deal with is most of my subjects are moving at a high rate of speed and I have to shoot in low light at tracks for night shots. The 70D during the day has been great but I'm starting to wander into the "professional" area of picture taking so I have to get my shit together if I want to get to the next level for work and $$$.
  15. I shoot with a 70D right now and I have found its limits in low light, it does fine pretty much everywhere else I need it to. The industry standard for pro level people in the motor sports world seems to be the 5D or the 1DX. We did some test shots in GA between my camera and a 5d with the same settings and glass and the 5D just has better quality due to the sensor in low light.
  16. So they have them on sale again for crackhead cheap, should I bite the bullet and pick one up? I've never shot full frame so I really don't know if the cost is worth it and the gear will make me that much better. Some people say there is a night and day difference, what say the real world people I know?
  17. Leave the rolls in the kitchen ladies, these guys are doing work :fuckyeah:

Did Honda buy out all the Suncoast Creations wings left in the world? The rear of the car looks like a church fire full of nuns. No Honda, go home, you're on bath salts...
  21. Laughing at the idiots that are talking about "digging out" of that snow yesterday. That was less than 4 inches of snow people, you don't dig out of it, you brush it off and go on with your lives.
  22. in before the re-post police cry and cry and cry...
  23. No problem. Wheelie bars work great for some classes but not for radial tires, and its part of the outlaw mentality of the classes. I've seen Bill Lutz run his car the full length of the track on the wheelie bars without issue and no fucks given. I've also seen guys who don't know how to set up a car hit the wheelie bars and send the car into the christmas tree... For big tire cars on slicks wheelie bars are a chassis/clutch tuning tool that help the car out big time. If you watch the really fast cars they have a crew guy behind the car that checks the height before each pass and sets the bars.
