  1. A few years ago I bought a spidi 2 piece leather suit with a hydroback from riders discount. The hydroback that goes in the hump on the back recently started leaking. Do you guys sell replacement hydrobacks?

  2. I've been curious about the Z125s for a little while. I swung by the dealership where I bought my H2 SX SE. The owner recognized me as I walked in and we talked for a little bit about how my bike and I were doing. Then he asked what brings me and I told him I wanted to sit on a Z125 and see if it was something I would consider buying. He told me he had ridden his to the dealership and if I wanted to I could take it for a spin. I took him up on the offer. Needless to say I had a blast on the short ride. I ended up buying one of the 2019s they had on the floor.

Now I gotta start looking for the best mods and such.

Lol idk how I got mentioned... I'm def out due to finances. Maybe next year 😂 shit I'm trying to visit Ohio this year and that may not even work out, but if so I'll let you bubbies know when I'll be in town.

    Fuck snow. The desert rules.

Probably got mistaken for me. You know all us Arizonans look alike I guess. Myself and some friends from TX are going to be there June 2nd-7th.

  4. Some friends and I are going to be there June 2nd-7th. We booked an AirBnB place in Madisonville. The process for those are pretty good if you guys want another option. There are 7 of us staying there we have a garage and its only going to be $125 a person for the whole stay. I prefer Robinsville but the place were staying is worth the longer drive. We've had a good time at the two wheel inn as well.

If the trip dates overlap maybe I'll swing by to say hello.

  5. I have a 2018 Ninja H2 SX SE and I'm working on building a custom water to air intercooler setup. I have a 2nd airbox/ plenum that I'm going to use to put a Bell Intercoolers core in. Now I'm in the in the process of trying to find out where I'm going to get the other parts I need. I have a couple of friends that are going to do the fabrication work for me. I need a water pump with built in reservoir and a heat exchanger. I've reached out to a coupe companies that have kits for the H2 and asked how much they'll sell just the heat exchanger and water pump/ reservoir separately. I'm waiting to hear their pricing if they'll sell it separately. If the cost is too high I can just buy a water pump and have the reservoir fabricated.

For the heat exchanger I'd like to mount it infront of the radiator. Like an automotive transmission or oil cooler. But the radiator on my bike is curved. Does anyone know where I can get ahold of a heat exchanger or oil cooler that is curved?

Literally just the corner, will stop at 4 corners monument and that will probably be all for AZ.

If you do decide to come down to AZ for the 191 ride let me know.  I'm only a couple hours from there.

Are you still in AZ? If so I'll have to get a hold of you next time we ride up to Alpine.

Not trying to pinch pennies, more of a storage space issue than anything.

Tons of small trailers on craigslist for less than $600. Maybe after a track day or two I'll revisit the idea....still need to keep the damn thing somewhere. Would make it a lot easier to get my bikes to and from my dad's pole barn, just back the trailer in and leave the whole thing there for the winter....

How far is your dad's pole barn from you. If he has the room and is willing to let you store the trailer there in the winter why not during the summer as well? If you're only using it a couple times a year it shouldn't be an issue to go pick it up.

Who dropped their ninja off one on the way to the gap 1-2 years ago? Of course bikes fall off 2 wheel trailers too 😝.

I used to rent moving trucks with the hydraulic lift for$90 a day.

That was me. I didn't have a problem getting it onto hitch carrier. But trying to strap it down by myself it ended up falling off.

I think it would be hard to find a hitch for the car that will carry the weight. Even on my tahoe the weight of the bike on the hitch was enough to effect the steering. It caused the front wheels to feel really light. I went out and bought a trailer shortly afterwards.

They have small trailers that can store upright against a wall that will work. Or you can rent a pickup truck for a day and haul the bike in the bed.

Could be a number of reasons; ventilation and weight reduction being the most likely. Can you name me any audio system except subwoofers (bass is non-directional) where the speaker is pointed in the opposite direction of the listener or pushed directly against a surface made of sound-deadening material for greater listening enjoyment? No, you can't because sound waves move through the air most efficiently when there isn't anything in the way. You can take my word for it, or you can flip your speakers around and listen to the dulcet tones of freddy mercury as he sings bohemian rhapsody into a pillow.

There is a gap between the holes and the styrofoam as if there are channels or something between the inner shell similar to the ventilation channels. But I don't believe that these holes are here for ventilation because they have a foam insert that sits in them from the factory. Why would they do something that would increase wind noise right beside your ears?  I don't think they are there for weight savings because they are only located in the 2 speaker cut outs. My speakers fit and work fine in mine. The spacers are already stuck in with the adhesive that comes with them so there is no reason for me to tear them out just to try it. But Steve Butters doesn't have anything stuck in there at this point so it couldn't hurt him to try it out. Especially since the wire for the 20S speaker is on the back half of the speaker and is what gets in the way when trying to push tree speaker into the cut out.

  10. 20 hours ago, CrazySkullCrusher said:

That won't work on any planet, let alone this one.

Can you explain why there are holes in the bottom of the speaker cut out instead of something for the velcro to attach to? It doesn't really show in the picture but they are raised up and there is a little gap between the holes and the styrofoam.

It's already fit into the hole it's just too thick... I'll check out that adhesive, either that or some tape... I'm just curious why I'm the only one with an rf1200 and fitment issues lol

It took me awhile to get it figured out. I'm curious how it would sound to point the speakers outwards towards the shell of the helmet. The rf1200 has holes in the speaker recess like that might be the way to do it.

  12. 11 minutes ago, Steve Butters said:

Here's a pic... They look like they fit, I don't know if the speakers are different between the 10 and the 20 or not... But these rock around and will come out... If I press them any harder I'd break them or dent the speaker itself... I don't blame sena or shoei, i just can't get a good fit unless I use the spacer they included... I could probably permanently mount them in with tape, I might try that before selling it

    20180524_044733.jpg

I have a rf 1200 with a Sena 20S evo. It came with a bunch of foam pads with an adhesive on one side and soft velcro on the other. I trimmed the foam pad down to a smaller diameter so it fit in the speaker recess better without touching the edges. I stuck that in the recess and mount the speakers to it. They fit fine.

Thanks fellas but let’s face it. I’ll most likely end up doing something to this thing a warranty department won’t like anyhow :dunno:

As long as the modification isn't directly linked to the warranty issue you'll be fine. If your that worried about it hold on to the stock parts.

If they ever try to say that you have to have service done at a dealer they are lying to your face. The magnuson-moss act states that you don't need to use a dealer and the burden of proof is on the manufacturer to prove something you did caused the failure.

I never said you had to have the dealer do the service. If you just change the oil and filter as the third post in this thread says to do and you ignore all other adjustments and inspections it won't be hard to prove you didn't properly maintain the bike if you don't know what all is involved in the service.

For example: If the service you are doing calls for an inspection and adjustment of a throttle cable but you just change the oil and filter because you didn't get the service manual with the specs on the throttle cable.  Now down the road the throttle cable snaps under the warranty period (I know not a likely scenario but it's an easy hypothetical scenario). You take it in to get it repaired under warranty. The dealership asks where you've been taking it to get the scheduled service done because they know you haven't been paying them to do it. You say you've been doing the service yourself. They ask what all you did for the 3,000 mile service (we'll say this is the service the throttle cable was supposed to be inspected and adjusted on). You say I changed the oil and filter. That's failure to properly maintain the bike.

If you're going to do the maintenance yourself make sure 1. You can do it properly, 2. You have the tools to do it or your willing to get them and 3. That you know what all is involved in the service.

  15. Get the service manual and if you can do the work yourself and have all required tools do it yourself and keep the receipts (especially for the manual and any specialty tools). Just make sure you can explain everything you did for the service. That way if a warranty issue comes up you can prove you actually did the service.  If the first service includes inspection or adjustment of a component and that component fails under warranty and you tell them you just changed the oil and filter they can deny your warranty claim based on improper maintenance. But if you have the service manual that outlines the inspection you can tell them how it was done properly and they can't deny it.

your bike has an autoblipper too?  the r1 just started coming with them.  mine didn't have it. that was one of the many reasons I bought the kit.  plus unlike FTECU you can use the software without internet connection.  FTECU is a pain in the ass with that.

anthony from woolich is the man.  he was helping me at 9pm on a sat.  I didn't necessarily need his help at that time. I was glad to wait till monday.  but he still did it.

Yeah it has up and down quick shifting with auto blip, launch control, heated grips and cruise control among other things.

Anthony was a lot of help. We were contacting him pretty much all day well into the evening.

thumbs up.  I have woolich racing flash kit on my laptop.   I used their autotune and it made the bike feel very good.  wanted to get on a dyno but the local shop sold it.  damn.  i did have the autoblipper sensor fail.  got a new one under warranty.   a little worried about them now.

also make sure the traction control is off on new bikes with it.  it will back off the power if it thinks the wheel is spinning.

They were pretty helpful we ran it to some confusing issues with the bike since its the first H2 SX SE the tuner has seen. So we were sending lots of messages back and forth to them. I didn't add any extra parts or anything from the "race tools" kit just used their software to de-restrict the bike and change the timing and fueling. The bike has a factory quick shifter and launch control so the only add on they really offer at this point is the pit lane limiter and the warm up mode.

I've been on some of those roads but I didn't ride that loop. From what I remember of that area I would say you'll have a great trip.I can't remember the route number I took out of Oregon but it followed a mountain stream that was so clear you could see the rocky river bed the whole way.Hells Canyon has some very good twisties as it drops down to the river. The Beartooth Pass-Chief Joseph area is some of the best mountain riding area in the U.S.!Teton has some beautiful mountain vistas from Signal Mountain and Jenny Lake. The Marina at Colter Bay is worth a stop.Great Campground there too if they still allow motorcycles on the Hiker-Biker loop.Since you'll be on the East side of Yellowstone be sure to see the Lower Lower Falls and Artist Point...Very Impressive!Old Faithfall...not so much.

I stayed in Stanley OR one night but I can't say I remember much about it.Missoula MT is fun little college town.I spent a couple months working in that area back in 2006...a little south on 93 in Hamilton. That whole Bitteroot area is pretty nice.If this loop takes you up to the Kalispel/Flathead Lake/Glacier NP area you might want to take sometime and explore that area.

Just a few things that I remember from that area.I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend that trip!I've heard a lot about LoLo Pass but I've never been there,I'm sure it will be an excellent ride.

I don't know how much time you have for this trip, but you might want to stop in over at the FJR Forum and ask around over there about little known favorite roads in that area. The guys that live out there might set you up with some great rides, restaurants and things to do and see.

    Enjoy you're trip.

Awesome thanks. When is it warm enough to ride around up there without cold weather gear? We're going to be living out of saddlebags for the trip so the less extra gear we bring the better.

Myself and @JustinNck1 will be taking some of these routes in August when we take our trip out west.

Let me know what you think of the area.
