Spent a fair amount of time on the new bike this weekend. So far, I absolutely love it! I forgot how relaxing riding could be. Maybe it was a raging case of vaginitis, but I always felt hurried on the I4 600. This thing just goes with no effort. And where have floorboards been all of my life?

Why isn't K-kid on there? That's some shit right there.

For kid fishing, nothing beets chestnut ridge off of 33 on way down to Lancaster. Drop some hotdog on a hook and you instantly have away bass or bluegill. Kids only though.

Mullet and Burt lakes are Just south of Mackinac. Great clear lakes with tons of cabin opportunities.

Iron Pony was a great dealership experience. Gave me a great trade-in and came down significantly from MSRP on the bike as well as additional items.

I've had a negative experience there as well. When I was new to riding, I stopped there to get all of my gear. The 12 year-old Tap-Out tuff-guy and his buddy thought it was super funny to try to sell me ridiculous items.... obviously screwing with the Newb. I have a solid temper and can control myself (learned that bouncing in college bars for 3 years), but I was close to snapping. Screw Hinderer. Strange that I've never seen any positive stuff posted on here about them.

I've had these for about 2 years. Paid nearly $200 for the set. The pieces are there, but the directions are not. They're a little faded from use, but no holes or rips. Asking $50 for the package. Don't really want to ship, so I'd prefer local deal (Columbus) or along I71/I271 between here and Lake County. Look at iron pony's website for a better description. [ATTACH]3024[/ATTACH]

Wifey is going to bedazzle a giant "V", but I'm thinking a jewelled "HD" may improve resale.

Although I agree with the concept of trying, a non-endorsed Newb will find it difficult to test ride anything.

Buy a used 250 or whatever you're comfortable. Figure out what you want by riding and learning. Then sell for what you paid for it when you're ready for THE bike.
