  1. They are purely cosmetic. You either like the looks of them or not. A buddy of mine has an Indian with those and fringe on his saddlebags and floorboards. A bit too much for me, but it's not my bike, doesn't bother me. I seriously doubt any of you would do the "gay" route to his face, but then from what I read on here at times, intelligence isn't required. If it happened, I just want to witness the outcome.
  2. My wife has one, couple of years old and she loves it. It's not bad looking for a small sedan. I'm 6' 2'' and I have enough room. Not sure I would want to drive to Florida in it but it's pretty comforatable. Good pep for the size.
  3. Sunday is the bike blessing at the American Legion in Harrison on Campbell Road. Ride at noon, optional, blessing around three and it's free.
  4. Last time I was called a squid was in the Navy during 'Nam, so I'm not sure what that means. I've got to tell you boys, if you don't ever want to ride with me because I won't do what you want me to, listen close now. Not a problem...
  5. Should everyone wear a helmet due to safety? Absolutely. Is it in the Constiution that everything a person does has to be safe? Hell no. I simply don't want anyone telling me what to do or not to do unless it is absolutely necessary. I've watched over the years as the goverment has rolled over my liberties one by one, and usually it's because there is some concerned group of dogooders trying to save me. Sorry, I may not want to live like you do, that should also be my right as long as I'm not infringing on any of your liberties. That is what this country was founded on and it is sad to watch it being slowly taken over by the dogooders. Please allow me to make my own decisions. I'm 55 years old and have been riding since I was 16. I know what I want, and I've earned the right to make that decision.
  6. We are not riding to Sturgis. We have an RV toyhauler that will take two in the back and pull two more on a trailer. We have a full hook-up site at Glencoe Campground across from Full Throttle Saloon just outside Sturgis. That bar in Millville has changed names a number of times. I pass Tailgators now and then, but never been in... I just like cruising the back roads of Butler and Preble counties and then sneak over into Indiana.
  7. Yeah, I know, where the heck is Millville? Between Hamilton and Oxford in SW Ohio. Just a spit of a town, but it has a bar, two gas stations and a place that sells "adult products" if that happens to be your thing. I live about a mile outside of town. Nice and quiet. I saw a link to this site on Craigslist and decided to check it out. I currently have a 2006 RoadStar 1700 that I would love to be on if the damn cold and snow would go away. I did take it out last weekend for a quick 14 miles just to blow the dust off and the carbs out. I ride with about 6 friends now, most of us are camping buddies as well. I will certainly turn them on to this site. Heading to Sturgis in August for nine days, should be a hoot...
