I will say this about he dot/echo mic- I feel like the dot is slower to respond.. that surprises me that it's supposed to be better. Nathan and I both think it's slower to respond. As far as renaming it.. you can now use Alexa, echo or Amazon as wake words, but I too wish I could personalize it to whatever we wanted..

We love our echo. In fact we bought a set of dots for the office and kitchen as well and are giving them as Christmas gifts. we've had he echo for about 5 months now and it is used many times a day The dot speaker is ok but not as good as the echo.

2005 Cadillac CTS with the v6 My dad is maintaining two residences because of a forced transfer to GM in St. Louis 5 years prior to retirements He's had to have two knee surgerys which has also depleted his savings (he gets sick leave but not enough to cover his condo and his house) the idea of adding a car payment back into his life right now is not ideal The timing belt may have jumped on his car and he just put like 4-500 in it for something g else recently.. it's not worth much, but I feel like if the timing issues are as bad as we think- I'd rather him put money into a new engine, than spend a 1200 repairing one that's already got 184k on it. The body is in decent shape and he does like the car.

My dad's 05 caddy is starting to nickle and dime him but its not financially feasible for him to get a new car anytime soon. He keeps talking about just buying 3-5k car to tide him over but i feel like this is just buying someone elses's problems. Does anyone have a good idea on how much a newer used or New 3.6 motor from GM runs? I cant get the work done here in ohio, it will be done in St Louis, so im just looking for some ballpark figures so i can help him spend his money wiser.

its that time of year when us couch weather men put our noses to the grind.. The weather for this weekend is possibly calling for our first snow, and we know it wont be anythign to talk about, most likely may even be rain before it hits the ground, but its still possible for some flakes! Im ready for it. too bad i couldnt put christmas lights up today.. maybe ill get lucky with one more warm

I tried counting when I was there today, at 300 I lost count-and I'll bet there was 200 more outside, and easily 250 more inside (100 voting machines active) I got in line at 11:36 and walked it with my sticker at 12:35. I was damn impressed. Be prepared to be hit by allllllll the politicians (not just campaigners but actual politicians) It was almost a tailgate atmosphere. Everyone was in good mood and talking to each other.
