My house is has newish windows (within 10 years) and a BRAND NEW heat pump. I will speek for the woman in your life. She will be miserable. My husband is relatively ok with it,but to me, i am freezing. I hate that when the blower turns on the air is a cool air. Its not warm air. We keep the furnace set at 68°. This keep sour lower level at around 66 and our upstairs at 70. (split level). While the thermostats all say the house is that temperature, it doesnt feel like it. The electric furnace kicks in at around 32 degrees.. Its CONSTANTLY running. It makes for rediculous bills. We use a kerosene heater now, to help keep the bill down. (and it works better than the heat pump, imho) We have a small/medium house of 1400 SqFt. I hate it, I hate it, i hate it. HATE. We replaced our old furnace thinking that it was the problem why the house was always so cold feeling. Lesson learned. We will be installing a gas line in the kitchen, but it will be a while before we install gas lines and heater because of the cost.

Post up Your Pics from Week, October 30th
mrs.cos replied to TTQ B4U's topic in The Digital Darkroom
Vera nice sir. I wish I could post the pics I designed today bu they are going for possible publishing soon. I will be out with the little kids hopefully tomorrow taking pics, Should be fun! -
You'll fucking regret it. heat pump sucks ass. Its not WARM air.. its just a air thats at temperature. it never feels warm in you rhouse.. even though its at the temperature you set the tehrmostat for. I hate it.. and NEVER AGAIN will i own a house with it. To get gas run to your home, first it has to be available to your house. Prior to that you have to hafve a plumber come to the house and plumb the house for/with gas lines. ONLY then will Columbus come out and connect a line.

I make nathans lunch every day. Most of it is pre-prepped from grocery day. We buy the BIG bag of Rolled golds pretzels and a box of 4oz Snack size zip bags (generic) and make our own chip bags (this is REDICULOUSLY cheaper than buying premade bags) >$8 for probably 30 lunch size portions of pretzels, we do this in front of the TV about once a month, and it takes about 15 mins. >$.26 a snackpack We have glass 10 1cup glass containers (initial investment was $14) that i fill with Motts Natural applesauce halfway (big jar is $3) (a serving size is 1/2 cup) and throw them in the fridge. Sometimes add Penzeys apple pie seasonings for a different flavor. A sixpack of premade snackpacks is 3.50. I get 11 servings out of a jar, and dont have waste material other than the jar the applesauce came in. $.30 a snackpack I also have 10 more of those glass containers that i make blueberry yogurt parfaits out of for breakfast. I make these monday AM for the week. Thick layer of blueberries, thick layer of Organic french vanilla yogurt, and i keep a ziplock bag of Giant Eagle Granola Cereal in there to use at his leisure. (no HFCS in GEs Granola Cereal) Blueberries are a powerfood you should eat everyday. Blueberries every week $3 a pint (usually last a week) Stonyfield BIG yogurt container $3.50 Makes about 10 parfaits GE Granola $2 I buy a big bag of carrots and divy them up into the 4oz snack bags. Bag of Carrots $3 makes 10 snack packs We do this also with snap peas. A Bagel from Panera (i buy every friday) A hard boiled egg from Akulas and Mines Chickens. A sandwich- Sandwhich usually entails Romaine Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, mustard/ 3oz of deli sliced Chicken and Habanero cheddar cheese from Yutzys Farm market, usually on some type of Muliti-Grain or Tuscan bread. Nathans ENTIRE lunch/breakfast probably cost us less than $4 a day, due to the lunch meat and panera bagel, but i promise you, is WAY more food and tastier than you get from eating out and better nutrition and portion control than some that lean cuisine/frozen food crap others are posting, not to mention Portion control. No Soda either, he has a reusuable BPA free water bottle as big as we could find, that he drinks probably 3 of a day. (i wanna say its 32oz, but not sure) Left over dinner at my house is sometimes substituted, but usually just ate for dinner the next day. Glass Containers Have cost me close to $30 for all of them, but they are reusable and i have had them for almost 4 years. I didnt buy them all at once either. I have probably 15 of them. (the lids get a little raunchy if you dont care for them properly, they dont like dishwashers, but can be cleaned in there, but you will need to replace them sooner if you do use the dishwasher) These are the containers, you can get them at any department store, (Walmart, meijers, target) cost doesnt vary too much because they are glass. http://lagustasluscious.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/71160173996.jpg Snack Bags http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSRxoW8_-dAnLO5XNAO69J_Q4yMV9B3v_t_zyhojPsoKObulS_xhow4M9nlQw

I just want them to regulate it more.. and I am not one to want the governmetn involved in my life. The problem is that there is no permit process, there is no checking in on the people who own these, they need SOME sort of regulation to make sure things are being handled responsibly. Im talking about the people who own TIGERS LIONS AND BEARS. I know that response to this bill is a knee jerk reaction.. but something should be put in place as a safeguard.

Apple iPhone 4s Goes to Apple Farm & Pumpkin Patch
mrs.cos replied to TTQ B4U's topic in The Digital Darkroom
My friend, whom i mentioned in the lawsuit, the image in question was one of his sailboat (his personal sailboat) he found an add for a winery in a sailing magazine that was using HIS sailboat. YOu just never know what someone will consider a "stock" photo for. TIms apple orchard picture would be ideal to a lot of companies. Its perceived innocence and Autumn, and groceries, and juice, and farming.. -
Apple iPhone 4s Goes to Apple Farm & Pumpkin Patch

I have a friend who found his image being used by a COMPANY as advertising. They had cropped out his logo. He is currently in lawsuit with them. He was advised to have the watermark prominent, and with copyright date on it, to strenghthen the case with ANY future image. What Tim is doing is incredibly smart. You dont realize how rampant photography theft is. Personally, i dont put the year on the image, but i strip all my exif, and put my copyright and contact info in there. -

I think what he is asking is what crawled up your neighbors ass that pushed them to call you in after all this time on a lame pad violation. -
Parking Pad Code Violation - Internet Lawyers Needed
mrs.cos replied to ForeverMaker's topic in Dumpster
I'm in Columbus, and there are plenty of garages with Pads next to them in my neighborhood. Do you have the code stating no pads next to the garage? I find it hard to believe they can go after you If it's there when you bought the house. -

What is the actual code violation? I thought we could get one, but now you have me worried we can't get one installed. -
Wash ALL bedding in the house and if you are having problems atthe end of the month it sounds like your yard needs treated as well. Make sure you are buying your feotline from your vet, as merrill (the manufActor) doesn't sell to online sales places. They also have guarntees that are in place if you buy from your vet. Give it to your pet, and repeat again 2-3 weeks later if still really bad, has been our vets asvice on the few random times we have neglected flea meds. Washing all bedding, (including YOUR bedding) is imperative. Uber vacuuming is important too, couch cushions, under beds couches, and ditch that canister/bag ASAP.

yes, but ill get the money up front, instead of waiting for that phone call.

I have never read a story about someone who LOVED thier HOA.
-
Why? its not something that sold me, and i didnt cheap out on my photos.. paid almost 4K for my package from BanksPix.com and that was 7 years ago.
-
Starting out or not, this is not something i plan to change. I may change the format i give them to them as, but right now, its how i want to do things. It angered me that i had to work so hard to find a photographer who would give me the photos of the whole event, even when i was offering to pay for them.
-
Oh dont get me wrong, my clients get ALL of the shots i take, but i only EDIT some of them. I also realize this is not commonplace, but it was a dealbreaker for me as well when i bought my wedding photos.
-
I think its pretty typical for the photographer to say up front how they plan to handle the final shots. I know that i will edit about 15-20 for a six hour time frame, of what I feel are the best shots. I then have ala carte editing available for the shots THEY want edited. You could always go in and say ok, ill send you a proof sheet (from bridge) and have them circle the 15 THEY wanted.. but IMHO, its not always the best shots from me, but the most important to them.
