  1. I posted a great How To for car shots- I wonder if we can get it made a sticky?
  2. The only lens i use for these types of shots always had the infinity marked- I would imagine that youll need to find something to focus on at about a 40-50yard out mark and then aim up at the sky. 14-24MM 400 ISO 68Second Exposure These arent great examples-but this lens has an infinity mark, and thats what i used, with a remote cable timer. (i'd love to have an intervolomter, maybe next year, ill buy one) http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6086/6080325792_67061ee9e3_z.jpg Stars, Boats and Pool Glow by Lucky Lola Studios, on Flickr Same Lens/ISO 24second exposure. http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6065/6079788665_0c26d43965_z.jpg Stars, Boats and Pool Glow by Lucky Lola Studios, on Flickr I have some other star shots some are good some are bad.. its usually me just practicing.. I have always just turned it all the way to the right, and picked the nearest thing to focus on and test shot till i had it in focus, as i turned the focus slightly back to the left.
  3. if you are tyring to do night star trails your lens should be turned all the way to infinity mark ∞ Infinity on Nikons is the lens all the way to the right, iirc, on unmarked lenses What lens are you trying to use?
  4. Itll be in the mail tomorrow if you didnt get it today Joe..

  11. Are you able to inspect the paw yourself? large bathtowel wrapped a million times around cat is useful, and since its a rear leg, this will definitely be a two person job. Maybe its a small cut that just needs to be cleaned with some peroxide?
  12. Make sure you wash EVERYTHING once you have treated.. and probably wash it twice! Blankets, towels, bedding, clothes.. Frontline will clear you up pretty quickly- My animals hate it though, and its a pretty harsh chemical, but it does the job fast and well. Vacuum alot too.

Is the dog outside unsupervised; is this when he is barking?
  17. As far as rural roads stick wig an outback or Forrester.a Subie would seem to fit the bill of all your needs. FYI, my previous outback(1997) had 289k on it when We sold it, and the current owner just posted a pick of it's 300k rollover pic for u's this week. Well taken care of will last ya forever.
  18. I have an SB600 and 2 Alienbee B800s, and a Beauty Dish. its my glass that needs the upgrade.
  19. Its on the list of things to buy, but im trying to save for some better quality glass, and just spent a small chunk on some advertising. If i can hold off for another month buying one, and borrow one for now, i'd be happy to save that 150 for now.
  20. Does anyone have one that i could borrow? Or is this something that you have to own to use on your PC? Thanks!
  21. No.. Just no. :barf: have tried BOTH locations, thinking maybe we just had some bad nights there.. Food is awful, drinks are awful.. Just no.
