  1. Okay, soooooo... about to do a ton of shit to the bike... any interest in a how-to for dummies (as a lot of this will be my first time so I'll post up all the shit i did wrong as well) for....

all will be done on a k8 gixxer 600

    1. Full yosh-r55 exhaust

    2. pcv

    3. autotuner

    4. plug change

    5. air filter change

    6. grip change

    7. throttle change to r1 throttle

    8. speedodrd install

    9. coolant flush

    10. brake fluid flush

    probably more but I'm forgetting.

I probably won't snap pics of all of it due to time... but if your interested in a few let me know I'll do a lil writeup and you can learn from my mistakes lol.

When you get to the valve adjustments and cam timings, let me know.

A temp sensor interrupt switch would be helpful for a lot of you from the civic areas. Its a cool little ditty.

  2. I have a 3000K High and a 6000K Low. The lower the color temp, the better the piercing power without dispersion. Run a switch or a relay so you get full cca out of your battery.

  3. A businesses major revenue resource is its customers, if you have driven them away from over pricing your product by trying to maintain an indulgent workforce you have to change or you will no longer exist to be profitable. Jobs are not owed to people by a company that sounds just like a government entity with its workers thinking they are entitled to a job and we all know how efficient the government is let alone how responsible they are in watching how they spend money.

Valid. The world market is too volatile to not remain competitive. Good point.

  4. If your goal when you start a business is to hire as many people as you can and not make as much money as you can then you probably shouldn't own a business.

This is a topic for another thread...

There is a difference between opening a coffee shop, and running one of the greatest manufacturing legacies in recent history. There are many things to uphold. Everything is so cutthoat nowadays its pathetic. Few businesses are willing to cut into their profits to procure their major capital resources, their people. Then again, in many cases, the unions gouged the corporations right back. Whatever.

    Bull Moose Party FTW.

  5. lol, mikey can verify. Heck he was even there when I dropped a 10mm nut down through the cylinder head cover on my CB550 when I was putting the motor back together. I was ragedddd. lol. I'll always put rags when working with a open engine from now on.... :D

I thought you and abby stopped for coffee when kevin and I decided to have a duel, lol!

I wish I knew how to work on bikes. Thats something me and my father could never do, work together.

  6. You might need to understand a little better what I said. The pace between the curves will be about 70 MPH; no one is expecting you to go quickly through the turns. Going quickly through the curves requires skill that you shouldn't have only riding a month and a half. Riding 70 MPH in a straight line doesn't require much skill. I want to be very clear with you that it is very easy to get sucked in over your head on rides like this with your experience level, do not try to keep up with anyone ever, ride your own pace and to your skill level. Wrecks change the mood of the whole ride; I would rather wait for someone than wait for the helicopter to take them to the hospital.

The responsible thing to do would be to ride within the legal limits and NOT put people, who's skill level you wouldn't normally know, at risk. After all, its about the ride, not how big your dick is. Save that shit for a track day.

BUUUUUT... if you want to chase someone through the turns, I may offer my services. ;) jp...sorta

  7. I've been working at a used car lot and I'm really getting sick of hearing people say things like this.

all of the honda's toyota's mazda's and nissans have just as many and often more problems than any american cars do. and the parts to fix them cost more.

this belief these brands of cars are better is false. we work on just as many broken parts on these brands of cars as any brand.

Yeah. I'd never buy an American car. Too many problems. Break too easy. Eff that  Only the best for me.

    I've owned:

    1978 Nova Custom

    1979 Camaro Berlinetta (w/ a 350)

    1986 Camaro IROC-Z

    1986 Fiero SE

1987 Pontiac Fiero GT (completely rebuilt)

    1988 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham

    1990 Oldsmobile Silhouette

1994 Blazer Tahoe with 4.3L Vortec

    1995 Buick Riviera NA

    2006 Cobalt SS/SC (Present)

Never owned a Japanese vehicle other than my 1969 Suzuki T500 Titan MkII. There are so few cars totally built in the US anymore, brand loyalty is in vain. Your money just goes to a fat cat with a golden parachute that would much rather outsource and lay his workers off, than take a real paycut. I come from a GM family. Many of my relatives work(ed) for them for almost a century. As you can see by my list above, I am rather biased.
