  1. Free bird for the lead guy! And someone should tell him to tape his brake light. 😛
  2. That's a major bummer, I'm sad to hear the news and for his friends and family's loss. Sent from the shitter using my phone.
  3. I like it. No idea if I'd run out and buy one since I already own 2, but if an R model shows up I think that would get me in the dealer's door. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

  5. I'll look into washing mine in the washer or in the shower. I probably can't ship it to any of the people you mentioned since I'm no longer in OH. Thanks for the pointers! Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
  6. I'll see if the liner is removable. If it is I'll wash it by hand. The outside I'll wipe with a sponge or wet rag. In the event the liner isn't removable, I know febreezing is an option for tye smell but after saturating it with sweat on a couple occasions I'd really like to get it clean. Plus it's now dusty from supermoto thanks to a couple falls in the dirt. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
  7. I need some pointers on cleaning my race suit. Specifically the inside since it usually gets sweaty, especially after yesterday's supermoto day where it was 97deg out. It's now also super dusty. It's a Spidi suit. I thought it was a bad idea to get leather suits wet or I'd just spray it with a hose. Anyone have any suggestions or can I just spray it off with water?
  8. I have a similar shape head and the Shoeis and Arais fit great. My only gripe about the 2 Shoeis I've owned (TZR1000 and RF1100 is the visor whistles after I do a shoulder check above 40mph. For that, I'll likely buy a different helmet next time. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
  9. Yeah it looks like very soft loose dirt and wouldn't take much to wash out. Does anyone have post-repair pics? Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
  10. Wow, they sure took their time on that! Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
  11. I'm in Orange. I don't have much advice on apartments, I'm white trashing in my RV. Get used to bums milling around everywhere.
  12. That's because we have helmet laws. I've seen guys in swim trunks and no shirts wearing helmets out here. I didn't have split lanes when I was still living in Cleveland despite being greatly tempted only because nobody knew how to stay in their damn lane. It was hard enough avoiding weaving cars when you were just occupying your lane as normal. However after learning to split lanes out here in Orange County I may consider it if I (heaven forbid) found myself commuting to work on I-90 when it clogs up from an accident. About doors, people can talk about throwing doors open all day but in reality you'll be far past any door opening fuckhead by the time they actually get the door opening. And in doing so they expose themselves to all kinds of other dangers, especially if they're moving. The air alone makes it quite difficult to open a door very far, so the door would blow right back shut. I'm sure they'd go swerving all over the place trying to hold a door open at 30-40mph and would righteously crash themselves.
  13. Leave it maroon. EVERY MG is BRG, or at least it seems that way.
  14. While I disagree with paying sales tax on used vehicles, the potential headaches it alleviates are worth saying a sale price of $100+/- on the title. Plus I wouldn't buy a vehicle from someone whose name isn't on the title. Too greasy.
  15. I have a Corbin on my SV650. It felt like a 2x4 at first but I can sit in that thing all day no sweat. Compared to the gushy stock seat, well, there is no comparison.
  16. I'm not really after gobs of power, I'll be more than happy with a midsize bike with midsize power. I think at this point I really need to ride one of the VTEC bikes myself to see how it feels. What can one be had for?
  17. Just don't go too old. I had a 96 Legacy with not many miles and it was rotting everywhere so bad it needed to be junked. My sister has an 01 Impreza and the front subframe was so rotted it required replacement last year. They have great drivetrains but do not hold up to salt.
  18. It's too soon. I feel bad for you all.
  19. Its unusual but doing it is a ton of fun. I crewed in the 2010 race for one of the amateur teams and it was that experience that got me into watching motorcycle racing again. The series has been in a miserable decline and I fear this may be the nail in the coffin for motorcycle road racing in America. I hope I'm wrong.
  20. Interesting points on the VTEC. I should try one to see for myself. What does a VFR800 weigh? My brother has a line on an 02 or 03 BMW K1200GT. I rode one of these a couple years ago and remember it being nice. What is ownership like?
  21. I saw Zero and thought it was electric at first. On my phone it even looked like they arranged the batteries to resemble a v twin engine! Guess not.
  22. I followed Coooter's advice. Although I also rode at least once a month. O matter what. Never a flat spot.
  23. I realized I let this thread slip again. Traveling has ceased at least for a little while. I accepted a job in Irvine, CA and we've been here since early August. So far it's been decent. I like that I am still riding to work and it's been fun exploring the area. I don't know how long we'll be here but we're trying to make the most out of CA while we are. Hopefully Angela can find a job soon and we can put some more gas money away.
  24. Oh my God yes. It's just too bad that so many lawmakers think it's too dangerous for motorcyclists to handle, despite the fact that it goes on in just about every other country in the world and California. California! But I'd be scared to split lines in OH. So what about the motorcyclists that are out for a cruise? Nobody is paying attention. Teens, 20-somethings, adults, nobody. Every day I rode into work I noticed at least a dozen people texting, and that was only a 14 mile ride on the highway. Who knows how many more there were.
  25. I've asked around about the vfr800's and heard some complaints about the VTEC models having annoying engine characteristics. Anyone have personal experience with this? Bad324, yeah, I'd happily do a swap day with you if I were still local. I'll look into the FJRs too. I know very little about them. Or the Trophy. It sounds interesting.
