I'm 90% in. I'd like to do BR with NESBA this weekend, if I and the bike survive then I'll sign up by next Monday.

nelson ledges june 4th-5th motoseries
wantahertzdonut replied to grapesmuggler27's topic in Track is Crack
Had a great time despite being on my streebike and learning to get around with handlebars. I brought a friend who just turned 21 since a few of us went in on his first trackday for his birthday. He had a great time too. Looking forward to finishing my track bike and getting out again soon. -
You see clear dry roads and think "I better take the bike out for a spin before this ice storm shows up" and come back all frostbitten and discover it's 17deg outside. This didn't just happen 20 minutes ago.

Isn't that the truth!

2010 Mid-Ohio AMA Race Poster- Got An Extra?
wantahertzdonut replied to wantahertzdonut's topic in Dumpster
Anyone? -
Gotcha both.

What's that damn song? I've heard it in about 8 youtube videos now. I don't like it but it's driving me crazy not knowing who it is.

Does anyone have a poster from this past year's AMA race at Mid Ohio? I bought one and when I unrolled it to hang it, I found they sold me the wrong poster. If you have one that you don't want, I'll buy it.

I'm on the fence about all of this. I like a nice sound but earsplitting noise is very irritating. With that said I'm all for expression on a bike but I think there needs to be some self-imposed restraint if only because there's more non-riders than riders, and when they bitch loud enough, they'll drown out our noise. I just try to keep it down in neighborhoods. I don't want to be a target!

Anyone had luck getting a title from a bill of sale
wantahertzdonut replied to STABOR1122's topic in Play in the Dirt
So I'm in the same situation with my track bike. I bought it without a title, but I like the bike so much that I'd like to ride it on the street as well sometimes. Is it worth going through the whole hassle of chasing down the last title holder or should I simply buy a frame that has a title and transfer everything over? -
I have a track bike that I bought a couple years ago that has no title. At this point I'd like to title it and put lights back on so I can have a second street bike. Has anyone done this recently? I know Ohio makes this more difficult in years past and I wonder if it's even possible. Has anyone successfully applied for a title? If not, is my only other option buying a frame with a title and switching everything over? I'd really rather not do this so if anyone has any advice or ideas I'd love to hear it.

Yep, that's the crash.

Does anyone who was there know the condition of the guy in the open group that crashed during session 5 on Saturday? (yellow bike, black suit and helmet) I saw the bike flipping through the air but got no word on the rider. I hope he's ok, but it looked bad.
-
Well I hope the forecasts are wrong and you guys get some dry laps. Of course I'll be kicking myself, but I'm signed up for Oct 2 with Fastrax so I'll get one more day out this year.
-
I am in since the weather for Mid Ohio tomorrow is not looking promising at all. I ride a red SV, red suit, orange helmet. See you all there!
-
I've been watching the weather and despite having the day off I'm going to pass. Forecasts are calling for near 100% chance of rain all day Monday and my tires are absolutely abysmal in the wet. I'm bumming, I really, really, really wanted to get one day at MO this year but had trouble with getting time off at work or had days booked elsewhere. I guess there's next year.
-
I'm thinking about it. It depends on how things go with Mid-Ohio on Sept 27. If I can't make that, I'm definitely in for Nelson, if I do MO, then I'm a maybe. I'll sign up Monday night if I decide to go for it. I'd just be there Saturday for the intermediate group.
-
I had the same thought. He would catch me but then I could pass him and drop him. I ran into him at the photographer's trailer and he said he's only been at it for a year and half or so. He did say this day at BR was the first time he got his knee down, so no Eslick-dragging for him. I'm barely fast enough for the intermediate group, I know he's not fast enough for advanced. Oh well, you guys get some passing practice.
-
I was a little surprised by that since he runs my pace and was in the open group at Nelson on the 14th.
-
Wow, what a day! Hope nobody on here was one of the ones who went down and everybody made it home ok.
-
Haha, sorry!
-
I'll be there in the open group. Hopefully I won't have another off, so I'll probably take it easier. I'll be on a red naked SV with an orange helmet. I hope to get there by 7:30 Saturday morning.

I personally would just rip the plastics off of one and beat the snot out of it on the track. If I didn't already have 2 bikes, I'd look into a 250. Yes, you'd be slower than everyone else but you'll really learn to carry speed through a corner. Whipping a little bike like that around would be a blast, and since you already have one, I say go for it. I've seen a few other Ninja 250's on the track of various vintages, but they're not the most common thing. I say go for it.

Hey everyone, I'm Jim, live in Fairview Park, and have a couple SV650's. Been doing trackdays since 2008 and riding since 2006. I ride mostly with Fastrax but have ridden with Sportbike Tracktime once at Mid-Ohio a couple years back. I'm looking forward to doing more rides this summer. I'll have to get in with NESBA one of these days too. Happy riding!
-
Yep, lots of crashes. I didn't get a full session in all day, of course one was thanks to me since I had another rider go down in 10 right in front of me, and I dumped off track in the grass. Luckily everyone was ok. The weather was outstanding, it was the first trackday where I didn't have to deal with a downpour at some point, or even the threat of rain.
