I am an American! That is why i hate our government... Its not a matter of some one blaming another all of Washington is Fucked!!! But a matter of all members being bought. We need a straight shooting president who wont allow his country to be bought but it will never happen because this is how their carrers are funded :/

I was excited by the thread Title... But let down by the actual content. And why not make a 5 door? And If they insist on their horrible "4 door" design.. why put the 1 rear door on the passanger side? Are they too lazy to convert it for the convience of the American auto market?

Ok so called a few machine shops some listed above. I have been quoted $400-$475 to have it Cleaned, Bored .030 over and honed and brass freeze plugs.
Does this sound about right?

ya because death by drowning is so much more humane!
Whats the best way to kill it? Lethal injection?

I was super excited to go see this movie. The previews reminded me a lil of the game Driver (nothing like the game). I didn't have a chance to go see it till Saturday night. I got off work, ran home changed. Make it in time to get popcorn, rasinets and a coke. Sit down in time for previews. Didn't see anything cool coming out soon :/
Then drive starts with the opening car scene, was funny and a 300whp late model Impala was comical, but not what I expected out of a wheel man movie. Was expecting a little more Transporter like film. But the long drawn out silence wasn't really tense as much as it was slightly comical. Me and my girl friend both were laughing at the wtf is going on moments. But the scene in the new Mustang was pretty good except for how a 300C was keeping up and out powering it through the turns and straights in the chase. The scene where Ryan Gosling's character fucked shit up was great. He has a ton of potential to do darker roles. Once scene where his face was covered in blood reminded me of Patrick Bateman from American Physco. But his overall vibe was very VERY James Dean like.
It was a good movie all in all. But I feel my expectations were a little too high.Dont go expecting to see something great, but it is a good movie! I would own it on DVD.

I have used several methods of killing them. As a kid BB Gun to the skull, fire cracker (M88) under them in the trap... use at least 2, 1 puts them in a lil pain. In my adult years I have been a bit more humain. I norm just drop them into a bucket of water.

Why does a nitrous motor need more ring gap? Expansion from all the heat so fast? Just curious what happens in there.
Good Question!
Any answers for question above this one?

Looking at the different rotating assemblies and I have noticed that some are Internally balanced and some are Externaly balanced... What is the difference? Does this have an effect on the machining and assembly process?

Unlocked to Sniff ball sack?

Not not into the whole ass licking thing. I plan on doing some simple upgrades on the Mustang as long as my warranty allows it. Things like exhaust, intake, rims, etc... I am trying to get some pics up know if I can figure out how to do it. Lame I know...
Who is your warrenty through. Because most having those itms will void it. Cause and Effect.

Copy and paste for us working folk?

Thanks!

Thanks Scott!
So you would recommend having the rotating assembly first then taking the motor and all the inner parts to him then?

Its not just about having a motor in a car. Its something I have wanted to do... build my own motor and learn from doing so. Its not throw $50 at it a week. Like now, I have the block and am going to have it Machined and bored 30 over. Then Ill save up a little and put the bottom end together, then heads... and go on from there. I am in no rush to have a car for next summer. Once I get the car I want to do the work to it to make sure its set up right and looks good. If this is a 2.5 year build so be it. But I know its cheaper to buy another persons problem and throw cash at it.
So Back to the question...
What Machine shops have you used, who do you recommend?
-
On post #51 you say you don't have 2k for a car. If you don't have 2k, you are gonna be way short on building this motor.
I dont have 2k in my pocket to buy a car right now... but I do have the money to build this car over the winter.
but he said in the end he wants boostBoost eventually. I think the route I am going to go with this motor is 347 Stroker with spray. Drop it into something and have fun. And then slowly peice together a 351 for a boosted application.
-
Ok, So I think my first step is to have some machining done. Who would you recommend and what is the cost range I am looking at?
I did some searches and found a ton. But for where I am wanting to go with this build for now (347 stroker nitrous motor). Who would you recommend and why?
