I see... Oh well, I found a lot even closer anyway. I've been meaning to "become a supporter" if that's what you mean. I, however, am just as lazy as the next bloke.

I can't use the search feature on my phone... I click it, the search options box expands, then when I click inside the text box, the whole thing disappears. If anyone is bored enough, and feels like searching for me, I was wanting to find the thread where someone mentioned practicing maneuverability at an empty lot on base.

Heyo. My mom lives in franklin, dad in springboro, so I'm down there requently. I actually li e in riverside. I know the msf is practically always packed. So Do what I did, go buy a pack of tennis balls, cut them in half and use them as cones in a parking lot. Solid rock has a biker ministry, steel disciples. I've filmed a couple of their rides before. they'd be ok with you practicing in their outside lot. Practice slaloming, swerving and doing a uturn in the width of two parking spaces.

bumpity. they got a nice dodge magnum, and would love to pay it off with this truck.

I tried the fender. it was terrible. On front of the windscreen is ok. I prefer on the side of the tail facing forward. it can get the whole side, including what the knee and handlebars are doing.

STATICS! Summation of moments and forces = 0. You've got a portion of the weight acting downward a distance from the tongue and the axle. The ratio of length it is away from either is the ratio of weight that is being supported as well.

So, I haven't gotten to ride much after I got my bike back but I did today.. Couldnt not ride. I still have the plastics off except for the bra, so I figured the extra noise may have been wind on the ride home from the shop. On my way home today, I experimented to figure it out. They had my chain cranked too tight. And it was pretty dry.. Granted, I didn't lube it up before hiding it over or anything. But they were doing the full maintenance though. Brakes, brake fluid, coolant, valve check, oil and installing a couple doohickeys for my lazy self. Nice guys, helpful and friendly too. But a mechanic is a mechanic I guess. I would have done it myself if I weren't busy as all hell with school. They probably just weren't paying attention. I guess its a reminder to check your shit yourself. edit: after reading the bike temp thread, I checked my coolant for the hell of it. Sure, it's a month after I got my bike back but I would have noticed a pool of coolant on the carpet, and two dead dogs nearby if it overflowed. And I guess I just assumed they did their job. Woops. It was barely visible in the reservoir, a full gauge length under the low mark. hoping it was an air bubble, I rode a bit. It's not like I haven't been riding this past month. After getting up to temp, it was still halfway under the low mark. I put my own coolant and water in and vowed to never go to vista again. Called them monday to inform them of their incompetent service department, and see if they would offer to make it right. Guy just said I couldn't prove it was them. Well, that may be true, but I can prove I won't be talking to him again.

Not a big deal. Probably just going to get one from Wally World. I prefer bi-folds over tri-folds. But, I'm wondering if anybody has a super awesome wallet that they love so much they'd want to inform me and influence my purchase. Right now, I've got a Wal-mart knockoff Aluma-wallet. It's aight, but not really that functional. My reason for buying it was for waterproof-ness. It's water resistant, as in my money won't get soaked on a ride. But, you can't submerge it in the sink. There's no gasket or anything like you'd expect when they claim "waterproof." Other reasons I'm moving on: It's slippery as lubed pig. In a hoody pocket, you MUST hold it while running. Or sitting. Or getting out of the car. Etc. It slides right out. Also, it doesn't latch well. You can pop open the two halves with the force from a fingernail. That combines with the slippery sleeves inside, so when it slides out of your pocket, falls, and opens, your cards and cash shoot everywhere. That turned into a slight rant. Oh well. Besides being leathery, thus less slippery, I prefer thin. Any other convenient bike-related characteristics i should look for?I owned one wallet for 11 years, and it ripped apart last season. Tried the aluma-wallet and it failed. Never bought a wallet before.

it was a darker tinted one, just not enough. nor did it reduce glare from the other visor. my original reason for creating the thread was because i had just finished my (free) motorcyclist mag, and noted all the helmet ads with internal visors. remembering my bad experience, i ranted. and casper(i think?), i agree. increasing weight is the very least thign i want to do.

i had am 06 ninja 650 for my first bike. the black with red frame. she was a head turner. beautiful. the new frame is kinda ghey in my book. all i did was the practically free mods, except for xenons and sportbars(which are a newbs alternative to clip-ons). it wasn't the fastest thing out there, but definitely the most fun. never compared to the sv, though, but i'm sure it would be just as exciting. if you're not going to go all track-day on it, i'd pick by price, or looks. if you are... then, the sv is the choice. even i know that, without any knowledge of them.

Then we'll become one of those forums where news just sign up to post the same question over and over again, and oblivious to any conversations before them.

i guess editting doesn't bump. so... bump. i love the thing. if i had more of a use than simply commuting, it'd be mine.

agreed. might be a little favoritism from prez's post. but it might also be a misunderstanding from prez. as far as i know(not a lot), i don't think hoblick is sponsoring the site either, nor placing ads on it. i don't see the harm in having them up there next to the ohioriders logo. unless his "number of shops quota" is full, and placing more would give them less view time than agreed upon in some contract or something. bunch of bs, i realize. i said i don't know a lot. just offering my $0.02. it is a post for all to see.

the one at my work claims to have the light sensor, but it still doesn't give your shit. i've gotten really good at shoulder checking the glass. even for a little dude. we used to have a friggin lumberjack 7' guy that would literally just grasp the machine and shake it like you'd shake your best friend after a really bad decision.

the brown, that meme is awesome. my name is robby sparks. sparky is used from time to time.

i'd definitely say that he is my hero. balls to the wall with a soccer ball. just in those videos listed, he probably did a couple hundred worth of damage or theft..

The visor doesn't even dim the sun though. It tints everything a light blue, but the sun still blinds you.

Replacing my clutch tonight... mechanic's opinions?
RSparky replied to magley64's topic in Tech and Tips
No way! That's an awesome feature! hope it won't interfere with my nos. or the buck eighty five I plan to go, sideways. I do like how my bike sounds, so if I'm just waiting for it to warm up, I tap the gas once our twice to remind me. Hope that's not too squid ly of me. Lever is within service manual specs btw. -

Thanks. Iwas hoping something like that. The ri wants to lurch forward if it's in gear and I'm just revving it to piss off the neighbors. -
i'm going to make the assumption here that you haven't heard of the cincinnatti bengals... in which case, i'd recommend any color but black. blue sounds good. i'd say a deeper blue though but that's just me.

I had one on my scorpion exo-1000, and and it was completely a nuisance. Too transparent to help, distorted my vision, and usually whenever I pulled it down it would slide a little out of the little friction clamp that held it. Anywho, I have seen like 8 ads for them while reading my free motorcyclist magazine. Anybody have one and like it?

how many miles have you put on a set of tires?
RSparky replied to oldschoolsdime92's topic in Daily Ride
My pr2s seemed like they would last forever on the 650. Looked new when I sold it with 4500 on them. -
Well I've had the tablet a couple days and gotten used to to it. I will say that it is convenient. It's nice to have in class and not obstruct my view of the board. Choosing apps has been a pain because I'm a researching kind of buyer. Even when the apps are free.. Far the only thing I haven't been able to do that I've set out to, is print pdfs and word docs to my local printer. its not a big deal because school is 5 minutes away, and and I get free printing. I do, however, miss the power of a laptop. Not only for printing, but some sites require the big name browsers, and or windows os or blah blah.. A laptop will be in the works but that's not to say that I won't be enjoying this toy.

That's a shame. It looks like a nice bike.
