yea, i think the side will work out for an alternative spot on both sides.

I tried it but the handle bars get in the way when turning and my arms block the camera. I'm thinking of just mounting it next to the front signals on the side got some smaller turn signals.

Glad I could help. I'm still trying to find a mounting spot on my bike. Can't really use the tank due to the tank bad sometimes.

Didn't see that part of your question. Yea its moves 180 up and down and rotates 360 degree.SO any angle your covered

I like the setup and it allows for multiple angles and sets pretty firmly. I don't know never owned a GoPro
