Hey does anyone know of a bike junkyard that is in the Columbus. I've gone to a shop here called rice paddy and they have some things I need but I'm looking for a 94 katana to salvage parts from. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Ok, I guess I'll have to wait on cleaning them the right way. When could you possibly help me to clean the carbs. Not sure what I could offer besides beer's .

I know.... I just don't trust myself in cleaning the carbs I've never done anything like it even with a manual helping me. Suggestions?

Yea I have a manual for the bike I saw where it shows you how to clean the carbs. I just dont have that much time. I just need to clean the carbs some to see how she runs and if I need or have to buy anything else needed for running. I bought my bike and it needs some TLC in running.

Does anyone know if yo can use carb cleaner that that goes in the tank for car for a bike? I plan on cleaning my carbs this weekend using some spray carb cleaner and using a carb cleaner you add to the fuel. Has anyone evey tried this?

Doers anyone know if they made frame sliders and swing arm sliders for the 93 Katana. I've already found some for the handlebars and not have any luck finding some. I was just thinking of modifying some frame sliders that are close the the year of mine anyone have any clue where I can find some or what to do?

Thanks for the links, yea this is my first bike I was going to sand, bondo and paint the katana. Not sure what the paint will look like yet. As for the first ride I figure it going to take me a good month to get it running and have the farings painted. Keep in mind I still don't have my motorcycle license yet just temps. I'll try and make a rebuild blog and post on OR with the progress. As far as the first ride you suggested Coshocton from what people have said I'll stay away from their for a bit, and running my bike off a cliff not gonna happen.

Does anyone know how to clean and tune carbs. I have a 93 Katana GSX600F does not run due to sitting for an extended period and carbs are gunked up. I don't have a place to really fix this so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Gotcha, I was just wondering what it meant. Hopefully when I get started on the bike it wont be that hard to fix it up and get running. I'll post some pic's as I work on it.

I'm Adrian i just joined and recently started to learn how to ride. Anyone have any tips for a new rider? I recently looked at a Suzuki Katana GSXF600 its a fixer-upper for about $300 with about $400 needed in parts. I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy it tomorrow and learn how to rebuild a bike.
