  1. And to top off the whole situation, I am rebuilding 8 servers today that the new guy screwed up last week AND we just now had 30 production virtual servers go offline for half an hour because the kid did not migrate them in vcenter properly. There goes our 99.999% production up time. My boss is going to be thrilled about that one it will take everything in me not to laugh at this when it is brought up in our weekly meeting on Monday.
  2. Do you have any grips for my bike? Maybe not that particular manufacture or model.
  3. Actually its the exact opposite. He is a very smart guy when it comes to IT but he likes to be in control. He does not like to take others opinions when working on projects and it is usually his way or the highway. I feel like he wanted to be in control of hiring someone because this is the first time he has hired a full time non intern and I would have been the easy and obvious choice. I am basing this on the fact 3 out of the 5 other people on my team recommended that he hire me without me even asking them to do so and I am sure the other 2 would have if I would have asked. But by them doing this it may have back fired because he did not feel like the decision was his anymore.
  4. So the new guy started last week and after a week of sizing this guy up and figuring out he got the job because he is related to someone, I finally got irritated enough to confront my boss(in a nice way, not an Exarch way) as to why I was passed up on the position just to see what he would say. He told me it was because this kid had a associates degree when he graduated high school which made his resume look really good and he just really knew what he wanted to do with his life at an early age. What kind of excuse is that?!?! Who gives a shit about what "looks good" on a resume when I have been working for you for 9 months and have ACTUAL work experience in the position and have proven my worth to the team. Why take the risk hiring a new person when you know I can perform the job, and can do it well. He must not have imagined I would confront him on the issue and just pulled that excuse out his ass to cover up the fact he is an ass. Yes I know politics is the name of the game in the real world, its just irritating given the situation and the fact I could have doubled my salary by getting that job. On a good note, I had an interview with Hyland on Tuesday for a technical support analyst position and feel really good about it. Also had a phone interview for a sys admin position at Parts Associates. Hoping this mass interview tactic will result in something because I just want to punch my boss in the face whenever I see him.

No, you didn't scare me off, definitely need to get used to longer rides though. That was the longest I have ridden at one time.
  6. Talking to my roommate, he may be interested.
  7. Wow, people are dicks! Had a friend on FB bitching about all the motorcycles going around her and passing on a solid line on Sunday so I asked why she was so mad at them for having fun? She said because cars can not do that so you shouldn't either! Who puts this logic in peoples heads? Why would me passing you have ANY effect on you unless I crashed into you or something? I then explained how a car takes probably 10 seconds to pass someone(not saying you can't do it a bit faster) and a bike can do it in 2 which makes it perfectly safe to pass on a yellow line if you can see whats ahead of you. I assume these are the same people who think all guns will be used to kill people(but lets not change the topic to this).
  8. Why was no one in that lane? Was that truck stopped or something?
  9. What size ammo does that thing use? 7.62?
  10. Yes and no. Yes it's annoying because I hate not having to option to ride on really nice days, but it also does not bother me too much because I do not NEED the bike everyday like I do my car. Yes you save some gas but it's not the end of the world to drive a few extra days. Now if they are being unreasonable with time that's another story but a few days to a week is normal for bikes IMO. It takes some time to get parts in a lot of cases, especially mine since my bike is so uncommon, so mine may sit there an entire week without being touched just waiting on parts.

Exhaust tubing looked smashed a bit and it sounded like it was rattling when it was started.
  12. Is there a bigger version? This would look awesome as my desktop background.
  13. I think there should be since a ton of people want more than one shirt. Someone make a list like we have going in the motorcycle picture game with who wants what and totals, I am too lazy to do it lol.

    "Nice bike"

No one has ever asked to ride but I often get asked to give them a ride around the block. I also get asked if I can teach them how to ride and my response is usually sure, if they have their own bike. Had one girl ask me to teach her though and fully expected I would let her learn on my freshly painted bike I just spent a ton of money on to get it looking fresh for this season. I told her no with at least 10 different reasons why but she still didn't understand how hard it is to first learn to use a clutch and to shift. She got pissed and I haven't talked to her since haha!
  15. I like red and grey. Can we do both colors?

Glad to hear! When I was rolling up I figured it was going to be pretty bad with that guard rail there, you got really lucky! Hope you get better fast. Also, did you happen to get the EMTs number?!

So how long do you think this will take and are you guys ok with someone who has only been on one group ride and it was a poker run? Do not know how well I can or can not keep up but this is starting right in my back yard so I definitely want to go!
  20. I always check this thread out and see challenges that I can do in like 5 minutes but I am always too late and someone has already done them lol.
  21. While the iWork suite is nice and opens way quicker than office, it just isn't as feature rich as office if thats what you have been using for 10 years. It is however nice if you just need to type a quick word doc or something because it does save into most of the popular document formats like .doc, I don't think it does .docx yet though.
  22. I may have to use that site next semester, looks like a lot of good info.
  23. This is the last I heard from Uncle Punk
