  1. there was recently a case in colorado where the police illegally seized a bunch of medical (legal in the state at that time) which they claimed was worth 200K. obv it was not worth anywhere near that much since they always inflate the price to make themselves look good.

the victims sued to get it back, and the police ended up having to pay their BS inflated value back to the victim.

    Ah Hahahaha justice is served.
  2. Garmin FTW! I have used Tom Tom, Garmin and Magelin but the best has been the Garmin. Easy to read quickly, unlike the Tom Tom and is a lot (I mean a TON) more intuitive than Magelins. Garmins also have the feature that shows a realistic picture of the upcoming intersection so you know exactly which lane to be in.

  3. I changed maps on that a couple times, no telling what I did last...I believe the last map I had on there was the Arrow slip-on tune which is usually good for most slip-ons.

Have you got yourself a cable off of ebay yet and downloaded TuneECU? You can check where it's at if you did, it's just set up as a %. If the "you're going this fast" thing was right, and you were going 65 but bike said 75, set that thing to 65/75=86.67% or about 87%. It should be pretty close then.

Yeah, I had one from my Daytona 600, awesome software! Had to use it to disable the EXUP valve like a week after I got the 675.

  4. Blinker stem recall was in February and only affected like 600 bikes across four models.

Can't find anything about a bearing recall? I have a 2012 675r and (knock on wood) haven't had a single problem. Wasn't part of the blinker recall either.

What dealer did you take it to?

Blinker stem recall? Like the stock blinker on the stick or the blinker switch? Mine did this funny thing when we were riding in the rain at the gap where it would illuminate the blinker light and keep it solid then slowly fade to black then randomly be full brightness again and fade to black. Hasn't happened since though. The person behind me must have thought I was going crazy flipping my blinker from left to right over and over trying to get the light to go off lol.

  5. Nice, I need to do this cause I know my speedo on the street triple is way off.

The good part, after I figure out how much it's off I can correct it with some free software called TuneECU. It has a section to calibrate the speedometer if you make gearing changes. Should work to correct this too.

If you have a Triumph, KTM, or Aprilia and you don't have TuneECU, you should!

Did you do that to my bike? The speedo seems like the most accurate one I have used yet, maybe a couple mph off but it's close I think.

  6. I would say leasing is a great idea for someone in their situation. You can get a new car every 3 years, and with the amount of driving they do, they probably won't even break out of the warrantee.

I am leasing my current car and it has been great so far, only thing is I may hit my mile limit or come close. Have been riding the bike a ton though so it may work out about perfect. I got it when I needed something reliable that wouldn't break the bank. I pay $200 a month and was doing that on repairs of my old car each month so it was a no brainer.

The new mazda 6 is a really nice car, check into those.
