Max your Med pay out if you can afford it. I keep mine at 10k per person per accident for auto and 25k for my bike. I pay $1400 a year for 2 cars with maxed out BIPD and UMUIM limits. 500 deductibles rental and pay off coverage for th wife's SUV. And bike insurance with $100 deductibles is $250 a year.
The theory behind maxing out Med pay is if you have to either go out of network or max out your deductible you're not paying anything out of pocket if you're found at fault in the accident and get hurt.

Are you done for awhile or just itching for a different ride?
Done for awhile. Going to use the funds from
this for a somewhat fun car that can be used to haul children.

I'll make the decision mid week of the week of. Depends on weather. If it looks crappy I'll pass and hope for rain date. If it looks good I'll put in for time off. I should have about 120 hours by then.

I'll be hopefully mountain biking and watching France implode on itself.

Rode it at Hampton hills. No pictures phone was in the car. Did the green loop a couple times then decided to hit the blue trail. Went to the new section and by the time I got back to the rest stop I thought I was having a heart attack. 45 minutes 5 days on an elliptical or stationary ain't got shit on actually riding. Neither does 3 hours in the towpath.

But it's tractable, predictable power. The 750 is probably a bit much for a new rider tho.
That it is. Anything 3rd gear wide open throttle it's absolutely controllable. Wide open in first or second it's just as fast as nearly anything else. It hits 70mph in first before fuel shut off with my fatass on it.

I saw a 2006 Hornet 599 for $3000 on CR. Only has a rusted ding on the tank. Maybe too much power? If I'm not mistaken, inline-4's need to rev up a bit before pumping out their power? A new rider could get into trouble with instant torque from a stop?
https://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/6090139835.htmlThe motor in that bike is exactly the same as the 600 F3 it just has flat slide carbs for better low rpm fueling. It's ok to ride on the street like a sane person but it really does like to sing at high revs. Instant torque is one thing the 599 does not have. It really takes about 3500rpms to feel anything. But it can power wheelie in first and second

Pretty much the same thing in my class. He recommended removing the slide as well.

Main question here is budget. If you're in the 'few thousand' dollar range, look into a bandit 600, fz6, sv650, ninja650 etc. Very capable bikes, reasonably comfy for taller riders and you will not get bored of them easily. If your budget is more in the ten Grand or close to it neighborhood, spring for one of the new Honda cb650's gsxs750 or fz07, Still plenty of bike but not as beastly as an all out sport bike.
Cbr650 has like 80hp fz7 just a touch less. Gsxs750 2015 was rocking 100hp and the 2017(8?) is rocking 110. With gobs of torque below 5k. That's a lot of power down low for a new rider. Basically same power as say an F3/F4i 600 with more torque.

I want to hear more about the boots topic. I probably need better everything.
BTW, a critical thing about armour is that it needs to stay were it should be, so fit is important. My mesh jacket, the elbow pads aren't really held in the ideal place unless I wear a thicker shirt underneath. I slid out once and the forearm and shoulder areas were scuffed, so I'm glad I had some protection there.
Boots are a 100% of the time thing for me. Work or casual ride with friends to dinner I wear my Cortech vice which have ankle support. Riding with the fucks on here or if I'm going to be doing illegal things I wear my Cortech Latigos. Latigos were around $170 and vices were around $100. It does appear Cortech is helmet house's (whole sales for dealers) house brand and that they share very similar attributes to the likes of Speed and Strength and Scorpion etc.

Anything less than a Hyabusa and it's just a waste. If you do get something less than a Hyabusa all your friends and family will ridicule you and call you a woman.
