    Its draws attention like crazy when 10-15 cars leave the parking lot just for 2 to race. .

     

    Like the little Scion TC crowd at saturday morning's carandcoffee event 2 weeks ago .

    They all started to rev motors while just sitting in the parking lot, then they leave together in a obnoxiously loud, and shamelfully slow parade out the parking lot.

    Just to make this 100% perfectly crystal clear I need to get this out there for everyone to read and cross post on.

     

    I ABSOLUTELY DID NOT BAN ANYONE OR ASK/TELL ANYONE THEY COULD NOT OR SHOULD NOT ATTEND THE 21ST ANNUAL DSM/EVO/GTR SHOOTOUT.

     

    The rumor is Jamie Carter was told not to come and so was Switzer. This is an ABSOLUTE complete lie and I'm not sure who started spreading it. I actually have asked Tym Switzer for the last 4 years to get involved with both of our races and bring in a GT-R class which he has had ZERO interest in. This year I did't waste my time or breath asking him.

     

    Feel free to post this and share it anywhere you see the bullshit rumors that are going around.

    Are these Yttrium stabilized Zirconia Solid Oxide Fuel Cell?s (YSZ SOFC)

    Very cool stuff, Back in College I had research programs investigating sulfur poisoning in them. at the time a completely un-explained phenomena. Have they fixed that aspect yet?

    google gencoup forum.... I think they finally cracked the siemens ecu and reflashes have been increasing in numbers. I think Haltech has pretty awesome super piggyback for tuning,,, if not a full plug and play option.

    not much work to crack 300whp now...

    comp cams custom grind cam... 247/255 113+3 lsa, 25 degrees overlap...

    ls7 lifters, stock rockers...

    Siemens DEKA 60lb injectors, FAST rails

     

    Crappily design intake manifolds can easily starve a few cylinders and let others get way too much air.. Usually half-assed aftermarket ones have never had a proper transient CFD done to see the airflow distribution along a bank while each cylinder is sucking in air.

     

    I would guess FAST would be OK, but I wonder how sort of taper that rolled runner design has between the front runners and rear runners,

     

    I suppose just because something is expensive, doesn't necessarily mean it is designed well...

    Cars are expensive:

     

    One of the most overblown auto industry narratives is that young people — those in Generation Y, also known as Millennials — have little urge to buy vehicles.

     

    Though the numbers show a decline in the percentage of new car sales from young drivers, those figures are a result of circumstance more than a shift in desire. It's not all about smartphones, the "Xbox generation" or an urban city revival.

     

    It's about the money. Specifically, the money Millennials don't have.

     

    Consider the following:

     

    Many in Generation Y began their driving years during the worst recession since the Great Depression. Many parents of those young folks were laid off at one time or another. Others watched their paychecks shrink, leaving less disposable income to buy Johnny or Sally their first vehicle.

    The teen unemployment rate in recent years has reached record highs, so Johnny and Sally can't even properly contribute financially toward their first car.

    In 2009 there was "Cash for Clunkers," which took approximately 750,000 used cars off the road and artificially spiked the asking price for the remaining used car vehicle fleet. Used car prices are still historically high and those prices are coming down at a snail's pace.

    The average price for new vehicles continues to escalate, and now sits at approximately $31,000.

    There are still ways to purchase an affordable car, but for many in Generation Y, very few cars are affordable when you're saddled with record high student loan debt. (Or worse, anticipated student loan debt.)

    Don't forget about the credit crisis, which has since eased, but some Millennials still find it difficult to get approved for loans, particularly those with modest interest rates on historically high-priced cars.

    I know all of this because I've lived through all of this. And automotive executives know this too, which is why most aren't losing sleep over this manufactured crisis.

     

    The unemployment rate in the U.S. is now dropping, gross domestic product is growing, young folks are getting jobs and soon will have $200 billion in annual spending power. They'll grow up, move out of their parents' basement and many will have children, and in turn will need an automobile to shuffle their kids between soccer practice and band camp.

     

    As one auto sales analyst put it: "I can't bet against procreation."

     

    Young folks will buy cars; just give it time.

    That video is totally fake. There is no such thing as a DSM with........function rear hatch struts!!

     

    Seriously though, did you see it? The hatch stayed up by itself!
