Picked up leather gauntlet type with thinsulate at one of those pirate gear leather shops at Traders World flea market. Wore them in the low 30s worked great. Paid like 25 bucks.
I know a guy with the side load, has them on a BMW 1200 C. They leak bad & they have opened on bumpy roads, saw it twice myself not pretty. Top load it is.
Had some goober on a benefit ride once call my FJR a crotch bike. When he said aint a crotch bike in town can beat my V Rod. After the ride and on the way back home his Bro's got him to line up with me at a light. He got me off the line but by 4th gear his cherry was well popped.

Have fun & be safe. You ever stay at Punkin Center out side Maryville on 129. Place is a blast, cabins are nice and good price. Rockin party every night & a stripper pole in the campground. What more do you need.

Started on the slab to Dry Ridge Ky,had breakfast at The Country Grill. Took 467 through Glenco to Sparta up 35 N to 42 took a side trip on 20 then doubled back, nice road btw. At Hebron went 237 which kicks ass once your out of the suburbs 237 ends at Rt. 8 it runs along the Ohio River. Took the ferry across at Constance back east on 50 to 75 and pointed the FJR north hammer down. Attached a few pics, the ferry rides pretty cool two bucks for a bike. That general store in Sparta is kinda freaky inside. I aint' got the balls to eat lunch there.
